Ok thank you. What is the safe no risk drop with BRZ? I noticed the official springs offered by Subaru only translates to a drop of only 15mm and that does not seem a lot for $999 AUD. I am planning to get the 18" rims, do they close the gap betwee the tyre and fender? Does increasing the tyre size mean closing the gap? Sorry i am not good with mechanical stuff.

Roughly an inch. Anything more would reduce shock travel and would make ride quality drop

If you mean a drop of more than an inch without affecting suspension
stroke (travel) you'll need to look at coil overs or an air set up (both of which mean a complete swap out of suspension struts).

I recommend you review the sticky posts under this forum and the suspension one to get a feel for what is possible, what is practical, and what steps are required to achieve what you want with your car.

Too much info for a newbie, I want to keep everything close to the stock feel and suspension. I am happy to lower it by an inch, it is purely for aesthetic purposes. What quality springs are recommended without changing the factory dynamics of the car too much.

I want to get the WORK Emotion CR2P wheels in 18", will that work with 1 inch lowered? What specs should I be looking atm I notice different offset etc. in 18" range. It is all too confusing. What are the recommended tyres for that set up, without causing the speedo meter errors?

If you cant be bothered looking for information yourself you're not going to get much response on here.

I'll say again, read the sticky posts - they will tell you everything you need to make an informed decision.

I just received my 18x9.5 +38 today. For those of you guys running 265/35 what coils and lca are you using? I am trying to find the right coils to not only fit this setup but also go low enough to look good and get rid of most of the wheel gap. I have been hearing great things about tien flex z's but heard they might not go low enough. I don't really want to spend $2k just on coils. Car will be 80% very spirited DD and 20% track. I looking into running like a 255/40 to help fill in the gap without having to go super low but i read that its going to throw the speedo off a lot so I am thinking about staying 265/35

It depends how low you prefer it. Here's my car at max low on tein flex z and cusco lca w/ 235/40 tires to get a rough idea. Personally I think it'd look better if I had stance lcas as they lower the rear an extra 0.5" - which would bring the rear as tucked as the front. I think the 265/35 is better choice as 255/40 is going to have a monstrous sidewall and feel sluggish.

That actually looks really good, I just want to go low enough to get rid of most of the wheel gap which you accomplished with the flex z's. Yeah I kept looking into it and I'm deffintly going with 265/35 not 255/40. Your maxed out on front and rears? Which stance lca's the v1 of v2?

Yup maxed out front and rear. Just did some quick research and v1 lowers about 20mm and v2 is supposed to lower 60mm. Having that large range of adjustment is always nice to have. On top of that you'll also get more shock travel, something that is especially valuable if you plan to go low.
