Request: Sound of Nameless Axelback/DP/OP Combo.

Hey guys,

I'm planning on buying the 2.5" Nameless Axelback with 4" mufflers with the 2.5" DP/OP Combo (catted and resonated).
I've been looking and looking but no one else seems to have this combination and I really want to hear what this setup sounds like. I just have a TRD catback right now and it's not loud enough for me so I want to get rid of it but I also want to know what to expect from this Nameless set-up.

If any of you have this set-up, please link me to, or upload, a clip of how it sounds? Thanks!

This combo is on youtube I'm pretty sure.

Are you planning on adding a header at some point or is this all you're looking for? That setup can be pretty loud once going past a stock header. It also utilizes the stock midpipe which if you have the TRD exhaust, did you get it from the dealer or do you have the stock midpipe still?

No this is as far as I'm going to go with my exhaust. Not planning on doing headers. I got my TRD from the dealer so I don't have my stock midpipe but I have a friend who's giving me his stock exhaust for free so I can get the midpipe from that.

Also, I couldn't find the combo anywhere on youtube. Just a few videos of the axelback.

The 5" mufflers are a bit deeper tone, the 4" is less deep and a bit louder. That is essentially the difference. Personally, the 5" offset mufflers are preferred by a lot, but people with the 4" have been pretty satisfied. You can't go wrong either way really.

My TRD sounds nice and deep and the only reason I want to get a new exhaust is to have something louder, so I'll still get the 4"

White 86 is Nameless EL header, OP and track tip. He's shifting at around 6-6,500 in this clip

Orange 86 is stock header, HKE OP and duel tip (I think)

Both NA's.

Is there a reason you went with 5" instead of 4" mufflers?

5" mufflers moar quiet. IIRC, Nameless said it moved the sound around more rather than actually making it 'quieter' per se.

They only offer 5" at this time anyway.

Don't they offer muffler delete, 4" and 5"? Not just 5" alone?

A better way to put it would have been: I don't think they offer the 4" anymore.

I think they still do. I priced out the 4" muffler option last night. Hopefully they still have it for when I order.
