I got authorization to have my pump replaced and mine is a 10 series so the rest of you guys should be able to do the same. Oh and this will be my second pump replacement.

Introduction

Some vehicles may exhibit a high pitch chirp or squeak noise from the High Pressure Fuel Pump
Assembly when the engine is fully warmed up and idling. Follow the procedure in this bulletin to
address this condition.

So if I have VIN 608xxx I have the pump already?

Don't think that VIN includes any 2013 build model

From TSB:
VIN Number
E*601536

You don't have the new pump with pulsation damper assembly (sound insulator). Your VIN is D*608xxx (2013), not E*608xxx (2014).

Only the newest 2014's have this fix applied. If your car chirps and you want it fixed, contact your dealer or Scion/SOA and request a replacement.

Got the TSB done the other day...

It's so nice not hearing the crickets. I love being able to hear the ticking of the motor again without a handful of insects having an orgy at the same time.

Going to order the new pump for my BRZ when I get to work Monday, it's not chirping now that it cooled down a little, but whatever I'm gonna do it this week.

I've tried two different dealers and I've gotten pushback at both. I really want these crickets gone, but they aren't being cooperative at all.

That sucks the big one. Here in Orlando... The service guy walked up to me and simply said "Is that chirping I hear?... Let's take care of that. Oh... What's your mileage?"

Needless to say he made a few calls and even printed out the new part number, walked to the back, and brought me the pump so even I could see I was getting the right stuff. Top notch, I say!

Im in orlando too, are your referring to the one on OBT or the one on Vineland close to conroy

Thanks for the info. I already had this replaced once near the beginning of September, wonder if its work it to try again.
