The Racers Line! Northern California's FT86 Parts Sales and Installation Specialist

Shout out to Neal of Racer's Line! So I've been lurking around and searching for a used brz for awhile. Finally, I found one that fits my situation and now i'm officially back. I know he's a busy guy and cannot answer phone call while doing car work. He picked up my phone call and told him I got a car that needs an inspection before I finalize the papers (dealer has a 3 day money back gaurantee if ever i did not like the car or have any problems with it). I told my schedule and situation and he just said come by after your work. I came by yesterday after work and he was just finishing up his day and he checked the car and put it up in the lift right away. Talk about true car enthusiast, kindness and customer service. I was insisting for the payment (coz for me business is business) but he said it's okay and even gave a free license frame and a plate. The car got racer's line certified! Definitely he's my first go to guy for any car work! He'll answer all your questions about this platform. Now to save some pennies for mods! Thank you Racer's Line! It was my first visit to his new shop. I think I found a place to hang after work coz I work close by.. 😁

Stopped by at the Racer's Line today to get Stoptech slotted discs for my brakes.
It was great to see Neal and Bo again, and hang around the shop and talk with Neal about our cars while he's working on my car.
Always learn something new about FR-S/BRZ when I'm visiting the Racer's Line.
I'll come back hopefully soon to get that supercharger installed next time!

had a grand ol time in concord.

Very long drive for me to get to Concord (1hr 30ish each way without traffic..), but totally worth it. Neal's super chill and his dog is asdgfhajkl cute.

dtuning flex fuel kit, dtuning tune, gruppe-s headers, 2.5 perrin resonated CBE, perrin lockdown, whiteline rear diff bushing, STI jdm tranny mount, STI motor mounts, velox aggressive diffuser.

Still gotta get that mtec shifter spring in...maybe I should start ordering more parts so it's not a waste of a trip...

Unfortunately last I heard - the kits are no longer being sold. I will check the thread again or look for other alternatives.

Hey guys bump for this, the 1st saggy bumper fix day is this Saturday. All the parts are spoken for but if anyone else wants to come hang out and watch the process I think Neal won't mind. The party starts at 10AM and will continue probably on into the afternoon...

The Racer's Line is another shop that I like to go to when I need some work done.
Neal is very knowledgeable on the 86 platform so you can't go wrong with his suggestions.
So far Neal has ported my turbo, installed my Aerocatch pins, and much more. If you need car work done near Concord, Neal's shop is the go to place.

Read about this in the drive thread. Will there be another one soon?

As for the parts, what kit is being used? I got the parts for the approach in this thread, just been super lazy (and a little apprehensive) about actually doing it.

Follow the instructions on that thread to the letter if you are not familiar with quiklatch installs.

Otherwise, contact Neal for a quote.

For the kit we used, see above ^^^
I am pleased with the results on my car. Neal had the right tools and skills to fasten the kit with the supplied tiny little screws. I am not sure if the fitment of my JRSC intercooler piping was contributing to the bumper being pushed off the clip, but he did the following:
- adjusted the intercooler piping;
- installed the Kansai Service repair kit;
- did some additional trimming of the headlight support area to ensure the bumper would click into place properly.

The reality is that the repair kit helps but may not completely restore your bumper to perfect fitment. From what I've seen and been told, the same is true for the quick latch method.

Whether you choose the Kansai kit or one of the Quick latch solutions, Neal is the man to get it done... if you can get a bunch of guys together who all want to do it, just get in touch with Neal and set up another Saggy Bumper Fix day.

Seen @PMok alignment. Not bad at all, very good actually. For the price and (NO) frustration on Plato's part, that kit is definitely worth it.

Mind you though that your bumper still needs the OEM tabs for these support braces to be supported by. Frankly, my OEM tabs have softened and fubar that these tabs wouldn't have worked. Hence I went the quiklatch route. I personally like the cleanliness of these braces vs. (as my son has said) having "nipples on my bumper".

My tabs where broken and these actually helped quite a bit. They screw in further back where there's a bit more material support.
