I'm just suggesting NASA is a good way start off. You'll have an experienced driver sitting next to you to alleviate the anxiety of being on the track. It's definitely a comfort level thing. Especially if you're driving a stick and not comfortable with rev match or heel-toe.
Once you get a couple of these under your belt, then you can venture off to other clubs. Personally I feel driving school for NCRC is a waste of time and money. Everyone ends up doing lead follow, and unless you're following the instructor, you're following someone just as green and clueless. Not a good way to learn to drive on a track. Just my 2 cents. Cost is the number 1 factor on deciding what route you will take in DE. Get to the track is your first lesson.

At the same time, clubs like the Lotus club or Shelby club tend to have very little in car instruction.

NCRC doesn't have instructors with each other new driver because that cost money, raised track fees.
What NCRC does do well is enforce the rules. That is as much part of learning as you having the $ for instructors. You can't follow those rules, find a group/org with more loose rules. I'm sure they're around or rent the track privately.

I'm not sure about Audi but I'm pretty certain you can't run with PCA unless you're a member, or invited if you don't drive a Porsche.
HOD is a good choice too if they have instructors sitting with you. I haven't been to their events yet. NASA is a bit less costly but they do have a shit load of cars on track for Group 1 and 2. Quote:

I can say from personal experience that PCA is fine with bringing a non-porsche, no invite or membership required. You might take some ribbing for having the "wrong kind of car" though. Audi you do have to actually join the club but I just think of that as part of the event cost. I understand BMW also is fine with non-BMWs but I've never been to one of their events (fill up to quick).
