I finished putting the new tail lights in. It looks pretty awesome!
That stock relay was making me rage so I just kept it on there and zip tied the new one like you suggested. Other than that, it was an easy install.

They look great! Yeah the stock relay is best left alone and just zip tie the new one beside it

Took me only about 5 mins to do both sides. It actually wasn't too bad. I spent majority of the time trying to get the relay off and just gave up in the end .

Hey JP, I have a question for you, do you have a link to any places that sell the tow hook cover plates for fr-s/brz? and have you ever heard of many theft stories of tow hooks? I was going to order a rear one with my rally flaps to put on after my repairs.

Sorry I don't know how to link names in posts.

Sorry I don't know how to link names in posts.

If your referring to the stock ones that fit the front and rear bumpers, I would say order directly from Scion or Subaru dealer. I modded mine to fit over tow hooks, that's what most people do as you won't be able to order the with a pre cut holes

I have never heard of theft of the hooks, but it's definitely possible I suppose. My car is garaged so I don't worry about it...

oh sorry for the confusion, I meant to buy the stock ones incase I remove the tow hook and am left with a hole in my modded one. did you just guess with the hole placement? and what type of bit did you use to drill with?

Yeah I also meant replacement covers would be best to buy from Scion or Subaru

Yeah it was trial an error to get hole centered for tow hook. Once I found center, I drilled it out as big as I could and used dremel for the remainder. The hole when complete will not be perfectly round as the tow hooks main bolt protrudes on a slight angle which will make the hold slightly oval when completed.

If you look back through the thread, you will see how mine looks when completed
