I'm too lazy to write-up an actual build thread, I will however be posting a I'm finally making power thread. In which I'll just detail what has been done and include some dyno graphs.

Taking pot shots at one another is easy. This forum of all the ones I've been part of is one of the worse. Too many fickle children and uninformed textual vomit but there is a bunch of good info if you can wade through the BS to find it.

Hopefully, OP, you can figure it out for yourself.
Haha, ok man. I never meant to offend you, sorry you took it that way.

Different kits have different means of returning the oil. AVO & PTuning use pumps, as gravity won't return the oil due to turbo location. Other kits include the replacement oil pan, as a standard feature...

We can fist fight.

I've got a friend with a shelled $3000 turbo that gas some choice words about oil return pumps. Perhaps it's a good thing, but I'll stick with gravity. It's pretty consistent.

Oil pans are super cheap and welding the tube is even less! To each their own, I say.

As far as stay away, stay away from FA20Club. You won't get everything, and what you do get will be wrong and fucked up. His tunes will probably blow your engine. They have lawsuits pending, banned from forums, multiple aliases, banned from facebook groups, etc. I am pretty sure that if it wasn't for the internet and most of the people that he has ripped off and fucked over (thousands of dollars) being so far away - he would probably be a dead man.

I did TONS of research before choosing a kit that fit my goals. I chose the JDL EL Single Scroll with GTX3071r. Kit will be here tomorrow afternoon so I can't comment on build quality until tomorrow night, but from all that i've read, this seem to be one of the most quality kits out there with plenty of turbo options for anybody's goals. Price for their base kit is pretty nice as well.

But like stated above, these kits are built specifically to order so it will take a little longer than a mass produced kit. IMO definitely worth it if you want a quality hand-made kit that's built in USA.

There's enough turbo info on this forum to made your head hurt. Just

I for one, am shocked that this thread turned into a pissing contest.

I didn't see it coming at all.

JDL / FBM / MAP with gtx28 upgrade if you want quality, and response. ~300whp or so.

PTuning is decent quality but more setup for gt30 frame plus. Highway pullers apply within. 400whp and beyond.

Greddy / SPD are journal bearing. Cool if you're still living in 1996. Pass.

AVO if you're the sort of person that would buy bc coilovers, rota wheels. Journal bearing copied turbo. Pass.

fa20club if you're not put off by the millions of bad feedback. Pass.

That sums it up. But I dont agree on the rota part. I use rota copies for street and the real ones for track.
