@Nevermore, it's been so gradual that it doesn't seem too drastic. But there's definitely a noticeable difference even still. The car actually feels somewhat quick now, even accelerating in a straight line.

That's cool to hear. I'm tempted to add some lightness myself, it just depends on how crazy I want to go. I doubt I could ever go this far, or even close. But if I do everything I want I'll remove the backseat (probably replace it with a pre-fab kit thing, or if I'm ambitious have something made) and get pulleys, driveshaft, and light wheels. I don't know if I could go any further than that.

Drivetrain stuff is the best. A flywheel, driveshaft, and wheels will go far.

hey dude, awesome build! i wonder how much difference it feels to have a car 300 pounds lighter.

By the way, don't forget to lose weight for yourself! you're adding atleast an extra 100 pounds when you're sitting in the driver seat!

I have had 4 people in my car before and I think that 400lbs extra back to just me in the car is what I imaging my car is like to his.

I'm ~6'1", and usually weigh around 165-170lbs. I keep my head shaved and try to poop before every drive. Not quite ready to start cutting digits off just yet...

Probably not too far off. I think I might finally weigh the car soon, so we'll get to find out exactly where I am. I hope the scale is accurate.

Well, big update as far as mods go. I removed my AC and made my own carbon fiber battery bracket.

It's pretty crude, but it gets the job done. No more zip ties. Dedicated thread with more pictures located here.

Yeah, son! So much more less. Disregard that factory crank pulley, the Raceseng one will be back in shortly.

I made some carbon fiber block off plates to cover the holes, but then I realized cool air blows into the cabin through there, so I'm going to hold off on blocking those off for now. All the roof scoop... without the roof scoop. And as a bonus, you can now see my trunk from the front of the car with the hood popped. Because that's useful.

jdmasfck. @Raceseng, waiting on that goodness.

You can actually see the tranny now!

I've still got to deal with the wiring situation, but had to post some interior shots anyway.

weigh yourself on a commercial 4-point scale? They're super accurate.. down to less than a pound for most proper calibrated systems. Wife's dad is a trucker.

Yes

Haha thanks for citing your source. So if I just show up and ask to weigh my car, they'll be cool with that?
