While I understand how it could be misinterpreted, reading the whole description clears any of that up.

Also as stated by another, rotors is kind of like how everyone uses the term headers.

2pc rotors is more of a description of the product than the actual description of whats being sold..

Think of it like "Hey did you see those new 2 piece rotors they are selling"

I don't see any reason to call these guys out over this.

You should have read the entire description before purchasing. It seems very clear that it was for one 2pc rotor.

Why would you expect them to literally pay for your mistake? That's exactly what they'd be doing if they did 0% restocking AND paid to ship it back.

I would change thread title to beware, ft86speedfactory... has too many good parts accompanied by friendly customer service, and wants to take all my money!

Just a guess but I would bet that IF you had said:

"Ok sorry for the confusion but can I get the second (of TWO) rotors sent to me with free shipping"

OR

"IF I send the one rotor back on my dime & order the SET that I really want right now, can you waive the restocking fee"

that they might have done either one of those.
But now that you have bashed them online I am pretty sure that you are SOL now.
AND I am quite sure you can kiss your offer of lowereing the restocking fee to 6% goodbye....

My only complaint is their shipping cost is really high and so are there prices compared to a lot of reputable vendors out there for the same products. Some of the products are similarly priced and aren't very discounted across many places. Their customer service is spectacular though. Some people put a lot of value into that and don't mind paying the extra dollar. On the flip side, their part selection is pretty giant.

Correct. We have had this note on this page since we started. And it's not even that much text to read before you spend $300.

@Venz1028 I feel like we did everything right here. Offered a refund minus 6% which covers the shipping cost. Even offered a full store credit if you returned the rotor.

If our prices are out of line with another reputable place that has a building and warehouse we will definitely match. Let us know in the future we can always use a nudge to check into possible price adjustments.

^^^ This is an awesome statement. People don't realize a lot of the cheap prices are from some guy living in a small appartment that are simply drop shipping items for pennies of profit to make just enough for a solo persons living. Eventually these guys fade out and are replaced by another. This is not the same as a reputable vendor with a store front that has invested in attempting to build a business to stick around. They have spent time and money to try and build something sustainable vs some cash on the side. It's easy to just skip a vendor and go for the cheapest possible but then your lacking the support of a real company with a real location that actually answers the phone during regular business hours every time even after your order. Compare this to some guys that when you call with a problem with your order and they just start to be "busy" all of a sudden...

I do not condone this thread in any possible way, FT86speedfactory is a great vendor.
however most everyone says the S is automatic but yet even in the responses that were offered you only write rotor....
Ft86factory why not just edit the description to say 2-piece ROTOR.

The headers argument is invalid. Do people say headers? sure, but the proper term when speaking about one item is a header.

I was looking at the same rotors. And I fully understood that it was price for each. Ft86 is a good company they get my stuff to me very quick and with no issue. I consider them my go to part store.

They essentially did offer the second option by giving him the full amount in store credit.

Dropping that much on parts you should be more careful. 2 piece rotors is common vernacular just like "headers" and is understood as a separate disc and hat. They could have helped you out a bit more by eating the whole fee but returning items sucks to deal with so I don't exactly blame them for asking for 6% to cover their shipping cost. Besides, if you returned it for your money back you were obviously going somewhere else to buy instead of taking store credit with them so why should they lose out on shipping costs.

Take this as a lesson learned and move on.

From my experience with them. They try to work with the costumer if there was a mistake or miss communication.I ordered from them twice.Their a good, reliable company.Their intentions is to serve our plat form. and to keep returning customers.I still see my self opening there website, and ordering from them again. The best way i found is to email them before you order. to make sure the product is in stock , and the quantity is right.

I think that this part of their company grew fast. and its time for them to employ more people (or someone there is not doing there job properly).

A side note to FT86speedfactory. Please synchronize your inventory with your website (update the "in stock" or "ship from factory"). and please someone answer the phone.

The lesson of the story is that DBA 2 piece 5000 rotors are way overpriced and not worth the money. Stick with the DBA 1 piece 3000 rotors and buy them from FT86Speedfactory, haha.
