There are dozens of portable nav units for under $100 on the market. Sure it is a pain to plug it in and stick it on the window but they work very well (usually better then the OEM ones anyway). I have used one for years. Not having nav would never be a deciding factor for me.

Thanks, just saw lots of guess work and rumors on this thread. They added a camera so guess that made it even cheaper.... I have seen articles saying they dropped price to complete with new MX-5. Guess depends where you look and what you read.

If the HU is nice and doesn't have Nav I am fine with that.
Personally I would rather have good head and some other chick on the side that I can slap up on the dash and will tell me when to get on and off.

Fuk ya, any girl would run when they see that shit. That's so daddy/gramp. 😂😂😂😂😂

Funny thing is our headunit always sucked compare to the one they get in Asia.

Their base headunit fits the interior so well.

Yup, I have a Garmin and its absolutely no hassle for me to plug and unplug when getting out of the car. No lag, 6 inch screen, and I mount it on the passenger's side dash using a friction mount. Sure, the passenger has less viewing space but who cares, I'm the driver! :P

So this is why I can't get a girlfriend, even though I have a sexy car.

I tried to show the new owner of my '13 how to use it.. and had to just figure it out. I used it once in 2012 and they are still just as worthless.

The backup camera is a solid thing though, I use it to part as close as possible to the wall in the work parking garage in my cars that have it. worth getting imo.

Same deal with navigation, at least for Pioneer head units, you need to buy an additional GPS "brain" that is several hundred dollars, and I believe you can only buy it from Pioneer for it to work with Pioneer head units. Not to mention, there is also the hassle of running wires and tapping for power supply for these extra add on modules, it just gets messy when you go to install all these extra things behind the dash and have a rats nest.

Don't get me wrong, I love aftermarket units and have been installing them for years in my cars, especially Pioneer electronics. But being this might be a "brand new" car for me, I don't want to mess with anything aftermarket being installed, especially electronics that might void my warranty if any issues that involve electronics come up.

And, I definitely would not let a car audio shop do the install, too many horror stories of gouged interior panels, amateur unsafe wiring, and unnecessary holes being drilled here and there.
The SiriusXM module is like $70 bucks now and can use factory antennas...

I would rather have backup camera than the OEM crap NAV. Use Waze, google maps, etc on your phone and stream audio.. easy and much better. Who uses NAV for anything but long trips anyways?

I think the big thing you're missing is that if you're buying a new car, you should damn well get the color you want.

Only time I'd settle for a color on a new car is if there was a crazy discount on it, and even then I'd still probably just buy the color I want somewhere else.

Yeah I'm between WR blue and gray/black. The closest blue is 300 miles away... So I'm seeing if I can get a dealer swap or I'll probably do black/guy
