Exhaust bolts working off over time?

After installing an aftermarket overpipe, it seems every week or so the bolts start coming loose on both ends of it. I am about to install an aftermarket UEL header as well - but its getting pretty tiresome needing to check the bolts every now and then. The first time this happened, both bolts connecting the OP to the header had worked completely off (I had to find new ones).

Will grade 8 lock washers do it? Anything?

They should not come off if you torqued them properly. 26 ft/lbs on overpipe bolts, 22 ft/lbs for header studs. Drive around and allow them to heat cycle, then re-torque. After that it should be good.

I think JDL makes a header lock washer setup but I just went to Fastenal to accomplish the same thing. I used lock washers throughout.

yep use lock washers or nuts and use high temp antiseize on nuts\bolts run the nut\bolt a couple of passes with the antiseize on threads to it runs smooth wipe of excess and dirt \ scale then torque up. It you torque up rusty dry bolts a lot of the "torque" goes into overcomming the high levels of friction, then once they heat up they will loosen.
