Some transmissions did not have plugs that were magnetic, mostly older cars. Those required frequent oil changes.

Those same plugs have the same thread pitch and bolt size as newer cars (aka ours), so the drain plug is interchangeable. If you notice, most of these will just have a thread and "types of vehicles" it fits to.

You misunderstood me. I’m saying aftermarket magnetic plugs are gimmicks since the stock ones are already magnetic.

That diff plug is definitely magnetic. You can see it on your first couple changes, lol.

they r both magnetic drain plug. the diff plug with very large magnetic on the top of the plug. and the transs plug was mounting in side of plug

i just change those fluid one month ago on my 2017 Toyota 86
