Maybe it feels thicker but the document stated it has a smaller overall diameter... I was just wondering how much smaller. Hmm.

Does anyone know if they'll be adding options to the car to fill in those blank buttons on the steering wheel controls? I haven't seen this type of steering wheel in another car, so I'm puzzled as to why they would do the three-button vertical stack on each side when there's only going to be one button.
Here's a link to the close-up picture of the steering wheel from Autoblog: https://s.blogcdn.com/slideshows/ima...u-brz-fd-1.jpg |

Also notice how cruise controls are always on the right for Japanese cars and on the left for German cars, but they never swap the positions even for outside of their home markets (must be cost issue). Some car makers go as far as not swapping the signal stalk position for the different markets (i.e. Volkwagen Audi) which is dumb. |

How I hadn't even realized the BRZ had blanks. If they're not going to move the CC, what's the point? Planning on adding more functions later?

We just picked up a 2017 Clubman S and it has the radio controls on the right. The up arrow goes to the previous track and the down arrow to the next track (totally opposite from the 4Runner and the FR-S radio). It is definitely annoying going back and forth. Sent from Tandy 400 |

Sometimes they'll use the steering wheel for multiple models and blanks would be used in those car, working with Toyota certain cars (Camry and Venza for example) had the same steering wheels but different buttons depending on trim levels available exclusively to each model, also from a usability standpoint if they position it elsewhere or make them bigger to occupy the empty space it may cause the driver to accidentally press them (for example turning with your palm).
