Why? Because fu_ck having to pay a dealer $280 for a new key. Don't worry an alarm system is being installed so I wont be needing the oem immobilizer system, which negates the use of a chip key once I bypass it. And also because I like a simplistic traditional key, looks a lot nicer in my opinion
Let me know how it works! I would be very interested in doing the same.

oh it works, I already went to lowes and had them cut a non-chip generic toyota key that they keep in stock. After about 5 minutes of arguing with the guy explaining I'm installing an aftermarket alarm system which has its own immobilizer and I will be bypassing the factory one he finally agreed to cutting it. I held the valet key near the ignition so it could read that chip and the generic lowes key started the car just fine. Which was motivation enough for me to purchase a pair of these. They were $25 to my door from eBay!

Also why get rid of all the Scion badging but leave the FR-S?
Thanks man! Not really. You can get one for $29 or cheaper if you buy front and back. For $80 you can get front/back and steering wheel. The link to buy them is above. I will be getting rid of the FR-S. I’m waiting on the Toyota GT-86 badge to come in.

Thanks a ton for the help!

Since you already applied your badges, can you please tell me if the 86 ones come with the pins to align and cover the holes when removing the OEM Scion front/rear badges?

PS...wow, I just saw your located in Dallas as well. So awesome...I'll have to check out your FR-S soon! We have the same color too.

That's cool man! I haven't seen another Ultramarine in Dallas yet so that would be cool to see another one.

The badges I got did not have the holes in them so u have to eyeball it. There are some with holes, but I didn't want any holes in mine. I really like it. It is a lot better than I thought it would be.

I would love to see your car sometime.

I was iffy on buying it but I couldn't find any raised 86 badges like yours. The Scion logo had to go and I wasn't going to put Toyota on it either. These weren't too expensive and I was like it is worth a try and they are a whole lot better than I expected. I really like that they are flat now. They provide a nice clean look and go well with the car. Since they are mirror finish, they look black at night and ultra bright in the day. People that have seen it at meets like it. It looks really nice in person. It is a lot better than I expected.

Did the TSB for the window weather strips and drove the 2015 FR-S at work (handles differently from the 2013-14 models)

I really really like this. To each their own but I actually really don't like the Toyota badge swap, but the 86 badge makes so much more sense and looks absolutely dope as fuck. Tasteful man! You should hit up @boredom.is.me though, he does some 3d printing so you can have a raised badge, looks pretty sweet.
