I don't think Obi Wan has any relatives alive at the beginning of the prequels in the EU, I believe his parents died shortly after Qui Gon took him for training iirc. Unless he knocked someone up along the way and rey is his grandchild... Of course it's all been retconned so who knows.

In the original Clone Wars storyline, Obi-Wan had a thing for this princess during one of his battles.

My stupid theory:


Kylo and Rey are twins, but are both Luke's kids. Han and Leia adopt Kylo and send him off for training, but secretly with his real dad. Luke sees Kylo turning for the bad and feels like it's too much Vader in him. Rey was taken away like Luke, only to become a great Jedi when the time is right.

I said the same thing after seeing the movie last night.

@MisterSheep Im with you on you last theory. There was too much reaction to "a girl from Jakku" helping for them not to know who she is. And that is a killer theory on Kylo Ren's mission. Would be an amazing trilogy imo.

Overall I like the movie. Very similar to A New Hope like others said but not in a bad way. Character develooment to me is overrated most of the time when people pick on it. We are left with questions but Star Wars is really meant to be 1 movie in 3 parts so it takes time. Each film would be 4 hours otherwise. We are confused about Kylo, Rey, and Fin but Ep XIII is meant to explain all that leading up to the big climax in Ep XIV.

I dont like it, i tryed. But this movie (idk if was disney) dont have that epicness, like fight of obi wan vs anakin or luke vs vader. I hope the next moviea have that element.

Remember Luke didn't fight Vader until Episode V if memory serves me correctly. I personally disagree though, plenty moments of "epicness". The Falcon chase on Jakku, Finn/Rey vs Kylo, and the battle of Takodana for starters.

Still no breath taking, even in episode 1 the race between anakin vs sebulba was more epic. But like i said, still 2 movies to come.

The whole reason for him being on the dark side is just so he could eventually take down Snoke.

I read this theory before. It's at least interesting and makes you think about the time line of events.

Whomever asked who Snoke is, I believe him to be related to the sith spieces. If you throw in some exile, the original sith spieces were red (this would explain the pale skin, from underground sanctuary) I also would guess he's ran into a few lights aversion before, with his face.

My opinion of kyle ren;

They did a very good job of making him confused and like a misguided kid. He didn't want to do the things he did (in leu with the "not dark side team at all" theory). I think in the next movie, either he really does slip further into the dark side and becomes a lot more ominous (like vader) than he portrayed the sith in this movie.

Rey on the other hand;

how can she not be related to the Solo's? She's basically a savant mechanic and fantastic flyer (Skywalker blood and Solo blood).

The Force Awakens Visual Dictionary covers this.

Rey honed her piloting skills because of her Speeder. It is primarily built from parts salvaged from T-65 X-Wings (from the Battle of Jakku 1 year after Endor), and when she's by herself the Speeder can apparently go into full flight mode out of prying eyes (aka other scavengers)...

Also in regards to Rey picking up on her powers so quick isnt one of the key components of using the force believing in it? She is a believer of the Resistance and the Jedi from the get go it seemed to me. So when she was trying to fight of Kylo getting in her head and it worked she ran with it. Staff skills helped her with a lightsaber plus Kylo seems like he really has no clue and isn't that strong (yet)

In her flashback scene, the last part of it showed her as a young girl clearly being 1) left on Jakku by someone, and 2) dressed as a young padawan. I think her skills were already developing, but were dormant because something (or someone) was suppressing it...

The strong indication is that she was being trained but taken away suddenly to be protected.
