Yomny, if you can consistently get 93, totally go for it. Car was designed for 93 octane if I remember what the inside of the gas flap says correctly

To add to that, you should not only get more power but better fuel economy on 93 octane. When testing maps specifically designed for lower octanes, it was noted that power and fuel economy both suffered. (Referring to 87 and 89 octane specific maps)

All pricing is on our website.

But it is something I will look at a little more as it is a common problem in every vehicle.

From what I've seen, the idle is just slightly bumped up in rpm to keep it from dipping. The flash at the dealer does the same thing. My car did the same thing for a while, but after break in, I didn't see it. When I got a tune, they stated the idle dip issue was "addressed".

The flash upgrade from the dealer was performed when? Just would like to know as we purchased our development car near the end of 2013. But we still have the dip, every so often.

I would have to look at the TSB's again. I want to say it was late last year, around August/September.

Found it in the TSB thread:http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21868

Looks like it was November.

The tsb was released December 2013. I just had it done. The only way they would do it is if the cars "problem" could be replicated. Fortunately my rpms dipped and they noticed.

Bill I emailed you my logs.

Car idle is unsettling in the 91 map. Daily driver here!

Please get back to me!

@DeliciousTuning - Just out of curiosity does your tune correct the infamous "tip-in" knock seen around youtube? I recall having this back in 2012 when ecutek and visconti were the only thing around and no one had a clue. It has been said that some cars have this even with oem tunes(the knock sound when sharply slapping the gas pedal).

While I'm sure that can be fixed, why are you slapping the gas pedal? Roll onto it..slamming the pedal is never a good idea imo

It's just a figure of speech to try and describe getting on the pedal hard. When you're shifting quick most people just stomp the gas which is what I refer to by "slap" the gas pedal. This isn't happening to me but I see around the web that the tip in knock is popular. The description is a means to an end not the problem here so lets direct back to the point.

It can be eliminated with a custom map (timing comp, rpm or load vs throttle delta). I usually don't mess with it though since it's not much of an issue. Save the custom maps for more useful projects .

I remember having this with my first visconti map back in 2012. I thought it was just me back in the days but i see a few people are having this issue years later. Thanks @jamesm
