Do the revs just hang at say 8000 when you get on the throttle until speed catches up? It seems to be the hot setup in A-mod auto-x but that's because they are too fast to shift accurately plus no sudden torque changes and sound quality is not important.

^Dang, that's terrible to hear, Ichitaka.

I bought an A/C delete kit that relocates the belt tensioner just so I don't have to unbolt an accessory to remove the serpentine belt or relocate the p/s. $75 later I was defeated by the waterpump studs. There is one stud that is in the way because it is too long so I only needed to cut the excess thread off but one of the studs is too short so I need a new stud which are expensive now that they are out of production...merde. Might as well relocate the p/s like the factory a/c delete kits.

But I just had to do it the "easy" way.

Instead of doing homework (which I desperately need to do) today I decided to figure out the thermodynamics of Roots blower operation

So I am pretty excited because while a Roots blower is a shitty compressor, it should be able to hit at least 50% efficiency in a negative pressure gradient as an air motor which is honestly not bad considering all it takes is an underdrive pulley. Also as an air motor a Roots blower is more efficient at low speed, which is perfect for reducing idle consumption.

Haven't had this much fun doing physics crap in a while.

Connecting the throttle body actuator to a CVT somehow to use the Roots blower as the throttle would be epic. Hopefully the ECU can cope haha. Would need to completely remove all the throttle body position adjustments for rpm, dunno if the ECU would cooperate.

Damnit this is such an interesting project possibility...grabbing a CVT off a scooter or something. Or maybe just settling for a 2 speed drive, one optimized for cruising one for power.

Okay nevermind I'm a retard it doesn't work :/ Needs a tiny tiny intake tract volume to make much of an effect, which you can do by ITBs anyways. Darn. Maybe I should start homework, it's 3:47!

I need a new backpack that can hold a laptop and water bottle with large space. Currently have a North Face Vault which isn't doing it for me anymore and I don't want North Face because the ones I want are pricey. Suggestions?

For flat out speed it was great, the issue was part throttle response. There is just no correlation between what you do with the throttle and what the engine does. I would hit the throttle, and nothing would happen, so I would give it a little more throttle, and then finally it would be like "oh, you're trying to accelerate!" and lurch forwards. Then when going downhill the opposite would happen, I'd try to maintain a certain speed and just lift off the throttle a little and the engine would totally die and I would almost get launched over the handlebars. It felt like the throttle was just a suggestion to the engine and sometimes it would do what you want and sometimes it just wouldn't do anything.

Ouch!

Sounds like it will be beautiful! Post us a pic when done. I love some dark cherry furniture/cabinets!

(I was going to say dark cherry hardwood, but I think that might have been taken wrong)
