Exclamation Fitment help!

Scion FRS. How would STR 5x114 +40 offset wheels look with the 1 inch spacers/adapter to 5x100 needed to fit them on. Would they look good or too much poke or ?? Please help. I don't know much about wheels but I can get a very good deal on the 5x114 wheels so I'm considering buying them.

No one can say without the width of the wheel. 5x114 / 5x100 is just the bolt circle. 1" = 25.4mm, so 40 - 25.4 = 14.6. So you are going to end up with a really low offset, i.e. they will poke quite a bit depending on the width of that wheel.

I was using 22mm (F) and 23mm (R) worth of spacers on my 17x8 +48 offset wheels until just recently. So that's an effective offset of 26mm (F) and 25mm (R). I think they looked great, although I would have had less spacer on the front if my wheel studs didn't get in the way (did not want to cut them). Going another 10mm lower in offset would have looked really goofy to me.

All this said, there is a "will this fit?" sticky thread that would be more appriopriate for your question.

Went to two places and they wouldn't do it because they think the 215 won't fit a 9" wheel. Gonna have to take it to someone that knows what they are doing. Maybe within the next week.

Since I can't afford real Watanabes ($3.2k), and Rota doesn't make these yet..I guess I'll have to settle for the ubiquitous and not nearly as nice, black RPF1s :/

What lip is that??
