More posts... LOL

I have been asked quite a few times why there are more and more revisions, why is it not tuned "right" the first time. Well to answer that question, I continuously learn, apply, test and develop more and more tunes for these vehicles on a regular basis. Every time I tune a vehicle I learn something new about the vehicle, parts, ECU and how they all correlate with each other. Hell I am still learning more about the 02 WRX, that has been around for more than a decade.

The learning process never ends, and I force myself to learn something new on every car I tune, it is how I make myself better. Wether it is by actually hoping out of the car and looking under the hood, speaking to the customer about their requests or even getting the latest RaceROM (and new beta tables) from EcuTeK. It is literally never ending and constantly evolving and it is how I need to live my life as a tuner.

You guys happen to be the lucky ones as this supercharger is on my vehicle and I drive it daily. I believe from all the kits I have tuned this is the perfect combination package for daily driving and light track use. So I devoted a lot of time to making it "perfect", but that will evolve as time goes along.

Does it make the most power, no, but does it have the best throttle response, best super low end, best MPG and best overall power band on the market, yes. In my personal opinion of tuning, every forced induction kit on the market multiple times it is the best performing daily driver package and love driving it every day. When you need to give it the beans in any gear at any RPM (and I mean any), it has torque. No other kit on the market can claim that.

Now I know people have been wanting more power and guess what I am working on some small improvements (fairly inexpensive) to increase the power but will require the intercooled kit while retaining the smog friendly setup. Because of the constant learning and testing, it allows me to think outside the box a bit and make more power.

Cheers,
William Knose

I just purchased the Stage 2 kit from FT-86 and am eagerly anticipating getting home from this deployment to install it. Also picked up a custom tune from Delicious. I'm gonna LOVE driving the FRS now.

That's a bold statement, and you have no idea how glad I am to see a tuner actually give their own opinion.

Now, I have to ask, have you played with the C38 KW kit? How does the low end of that compare to the low end of the Innovate kit. Looking at posted dynos they appeared to have very similar power down in the 2500-3000 rpm range, but the C38 looks to have better top end.

And then there's the 210+, can you share any info on that yet?

So, Thinking of going down to the 70mm pulley from the 75mm. What sort of improvement have people seen going this on pump 93AKI?

Are you running the intercooler? If so expect a nice jump in power.

Intercooled, went from 222 to 234 rwhp on a heartbreaker dyno

edit: I'm at 1100m though, so YMMV

Dropping from 75mm to 70mm gave me 10wkw & 12nm gain on 95 RON.
I'm sure you run in the same measurements in OZ.
For me it was perfect to use the 75mm initially to allow the kit to settle and make sure car operating safely, including Bill's knowledge of tuning the kit in stock form.
Switching to the 70mm makes a huge difference, the power is far superior, however I need to add half a bottle Torco to get the fuel up to 102RON to get best power out of the 70mm.
Interesting though Sprintex claim 12psi with 75mm pulley, however I only get 10psi, the 70mm pushes 12psi.

Doh, I was thinking flex-fuel kit. I'm thinking about getting the moto kit at some point.
