Also, when you put the tube into the filter, it does not go in very far. Just under the first clamp. So what was the second clamp for? I didn't examine it closely since it was covered in oil.
did you make sure to wipe off excess oil inside the filter around the clamps? Mine sounds normal til you give a lil gas then has this rumble of vacuum from the filter.sounds boss! Really loud with the inlet hose? i cant wait ,videos?

No, you will not need a tune for our CAI and Inlet.

HELP!!!
The two silver bolts cannot be removed and i think that i damaged the bumper to the black skirting. The screws are so tight that there is no movement when turning it left. What can you recommend without cutting the silver bolts off from black tray.

I installed mine today (inlet as well) and not knowing what to expect, I was blown away by the difference in sound. If you've installed the TRD sound changers, it is as loud as the red one in the cabin, but with a bit more growl. From the outside with WOT it is very loud compared to stock. Overall, very happy. @metalmoses @Carwhisperer

That's awesome, and just reinforces my decision to buy the Perrin CAI. Now if only my car would get here.....

It sounds fantastic! I have one installed on my car too. I did exhaust along with the intake at the same time, definitely recommend! :happy0180:

I get more comments on this intake everytime I pop the hood. Had it on for a few months now and still absolutely love it. I can't wait to get it tuned next.

Not pointing you in any direction, but I'm using John Visconti's stage 1 tune and at 3,500Rpms to 5,000 its so incredibly mechanical, reminds me of a NSX. I love that sound. Sounds good on the stock map, but once you get it tuned from the right tuner you'll notice a tremendous difference in the sound.

Two days ago I ripped out my Injen SRI and installed the Perrin CAI. The difference for me was night and day. The injen intake in conjunction with its airbox is HUGE and provided me with some pretty frustrating clearance issues with some of my other mods. And as noted in some of the previous replies it generated some pretty heavy hesitation low in the RPM band and it took some real gassing it to get moving.

The Perrin CAI install was not hard, sat down on my day off for the week and went to town. For those of you who want a quick easy install, this is not the intake for you. I think some people around here need to learn how to do some real work, modding ain't easy... or cheap.

After installing the intake with my Invidia cat-less test pipe and Invidia N1 cat-back system, the resultant sound is awesome. I could not be happier.
@Sony, this write up was very good. Thank you.

from what i've seen perrin's CAI needs to be cleaned every 30000miles right? so if you dont reach 30k miles in a year you dont have to clean it? i live in a city and travel 400km a week max.

10-15k depending on your climate. If it's dusty and a lot of crap in the air, I'd check it every 12k. If it's fairly clean, could probably get away with 20k.
