Ahem, back in the 80's (and earlier), one might have needed to go to the dentist for a haircut, but that was a good thing!

I say, BRZ headlights, FR-S front bumper, 2013 FR-S dash cover, BRZ premium seats, the perfect Frankentwin!

It's shark face vs mouth guard face.

I have the accentuated 5:AD shark face.

It is clearly TOYOTA! From a visual/styling/design perspective Toyota was obviously the dominant influence. There are zero past Subaru models with any similar styling although there are many Toyota Easter eggs to be found on these cars regardless of the badge.

The mechanicals, identical in both cars, are clearly mostly Subaru (except for the fuel injection).

So people that think Subaru is better than Toyota are looking at and appreciating almost 100% Toyota design details when they admire their BRZ's.

The mustache and the smaller details that are different in the 2 twins represent a very small part of the overall design package.
Never understood it to be honest shrugz the car was designed by Toyota assembled by Subaru.

It's certainly not surrounding his mustache, as the hillbillies seem to believe.

Here's a good pic, since white shows it best. The bumper is inside the mouth opening. If it weren't, you'd see a white line underneath it. Unlike the bearded man shown above, you can see the line of the mouth continue up the sides and around the top.

So if you think that's a mustache, you have to believe that mustaches grow inside people's mouths. And that's nasty.

The design of the BRZ bumper and especially the fog light housings are most certainly a nod to the rest of the Subaru line up. That is about where it ends though.

No cuz you can't see the upper line of the mouth hidden behind said mustache, just skin(in this case, white skin)

True. It's almost like they gave Subaru a complete car with a few blank spots for them to fill in.

But you can see the line of the mouth continuing around the side of the bumper and across the top of it. Unless you're blind. Or you think nasty hair grows from teeth.

Perhaps said mustache is the exact width of the mouth

Nobody has seen the upper part of my mouth in 20 years so I dispute your statement that you would see white line under it.

The whole debate is silly anyway because the grill is no more a "mouth" than the crash bar cover is a "mustache".

By saying the "mustache" must be on the "teeth" in the "mouth" you are just as inaccurate as those that call it a "mustache" in the first place.

Subie Designer #1 "How can we at least make it look a little like the rest?" *

Designer #2 "Well we could give the headlights and fog light housings the same basic shape and add a black bar that looks something vaguely like the split in the grill of the rest"

Desiner #1 "Perfect!"

* in Japanese of course

And yet the line of the mouth still goes around the bumper, which means that your exact-width mustache is still inside the mouth where the teeth would be.

I agree. It is incredibly stupid to call it a mustache. That's the whole point. If the hairy teeth people insist on calling it a mustache, they must also think the opening is a mouth. And since they think it's a mouth, and since that "mouth" goes around the mustache, they must believe that mustaches grow from teeth.

I can only attribute that to their own direct experience of poor dental hygiene.

It's so cute when people feel they have to slip an insult into every one if their replies. Shows how childish they are

Correct, the "fancy" term for it is Pareidolia. It is the human brain associating faces to anything closely resembling a face as part of a survival technique from when we were all naked and afraid....like after the last FT86Club drinking binge.
