Looking for comparison data for Thunderhill and Sonoma Racway
I'm looking for top speeds at both Thunderhill and Sonoma?
I've been chasing an issue and can't seem to find it. I'm trying to determine if something is funny with the engine, possibly belt slip. I'm hitting 109mph at Sonoma and 112mph at Thunderhill. Sonoma is a little low, but Thunderhilll was expecting around 120mph. If you can, tell me your weight, power, and wing/splitter (if any): 2750 race weight with driver JRSC - 91 oct - 235whp, 180wtq Aeromotions Wing Thanks |

What tire model and size are you on? Have GPS logs?

Tires are 255/40/17 NT01s, so the spedo is only slightly off. I'm putting in an external data loger/gps video monitor for this weekends event: 5/19/18. (Racekeeper)
I've attached the ecutec datalog from a Sonoma event and Thunderhill event, if that is what you are interested in. Only engine thing changed on the car between the two events was the addition of a Fluidamper crank pulley for the Thunderhill event. |

I recommend you get a track datalogger, like an AIM Solo 2 DL.
PM me to order. The Ecutek log is not enough for me to truly compare with other data I have. I need either Motec, Racepak, Bosch, or AIM type logs. |

Here is the export from my Racekeeper datalooger. Not sure if it is compatible with the aim type of logs.

I need a datalog with more telemetry, or an ecutek log.
I cannot help you with the log you provided, as it doesn't have enough parameters for me to look at that can potentially give me a clue on what is wrong with your car, if anything is wrong. As a reference, in a s2000 with a stock motor, I typically see 115mph or so down the front straight at thunderhill. At this point, I still have zero clue if its driver or car or both. I cannot help you if you cannot provide me with useful information. |
