Toyota vs Subaru Parts

I just got a price for a front left control arm.
$650 from Toyota.
$415 from Subaru.

Anyone else experienced this?

Toyota corrected a lot of pricing issues a couple of months ago, but yes you will likely still find some things cheaper at one or the other. If you are certain something is the same, it will probably pay to price it at both dealerships as they will use different pricing structures.

As far as I know at this point the FR-S oil filter from Toyota in the USA is priced at $7.50 retail (about $6.00 online), and in Canada it is now $8.90.

There are similar things that happen if you price Pontiac Vibe parts versus Toyota Matrix parts, etc.

EDIT: Didn't see this was in the Australia section. Sorry bros!

Damn those arms are expensive. I was looking at strengthening like I had seen on a car in the states. The company that does all the orange stuff.

Since the stock ones are disposable items, I'm considering getting some custom made.
Surely someone could knock up a couple of rose jointed arms for under $800. That way I can add some more caster to :-)
