somehow i never got that feeling. most people who knows the history of the development like to credit Subaru for the engineering. for those of who knows the history. they almost all agreed that, Toyota front the money, the proposal, and manage the project. they also all agreed that Subaru perform most the engineering, incorporates the technology from both company and produce this car. so when people say the car is Subaru, they are just attributing the engineering effort. but never the less, the GT86/BRZ is a end product of both companies. |

Agreed. I actually had some teenagers tell me my car is the new Supra (Toyota just decided to change the name). I just agreed and went on my way. I love when people tell you about your car, like you don't know anything about it.

The issue I see Toyota/Subaru fans get stuck on and make an issue of is the majority of the individual cars were built/assembled by Subaru, excluding the D4S system and a couple other parts like the audio. That ignores the huge investment in design and engineering that was involved. Plus some people hate the boxer or more likely just hate the mac struts front suspension, right @fatoni? And then there's the anti-Scion crowd... anyway. I haven't seen that pic yet, houseofsuffering. |

Someone go weigh the Scion and Subaru badges and find out which 1 weighs less to find out which is truly the better lightweight sports car. My money is on the Scion badge. That should teach those Subaru fanboys they got the watered down version HA!
