Just sent a pm to a moderator.
I have a buddy who's not on the forums who had the issue too. Seems like (obviously) There's more than just us on the forums who have the issue.

Do you know if the update from Visconti fixed the issue?

I think the AT tunes will be getting it first, if not I'm not mistaken the MT guys will have to wait a little while longer. The latest version is not out to the public yet. @Visconti would you like to chime in?

don't need to vote if you haven't had the issue. Trying to get an idea of how the dealerships are handling the issue.

Not having that option allows the poll to paint a biased picture in the minds of the viewers.

Having the option of no issues with the DI injectors allows us to figure out how prevalent the issue is.

a possibility of some aftermarket direct injectors that could handle the heat better?

No aftermarket DI's available that I'm aware of. It shouldnt' be necessary once they stop the detonation. I wouldn't be surprised to see some aftermarket seals (or maybe even revised OEM ones made out of a different material) though.

You just don't have the issue with the DI injectors, "yet".

This is very disheartening. I hope this is fixed for the 2014 MY. I'm planning to purchase one but not if this and the chirp don't get resolved.

Unfortunately the whole future of these little sports cars will be based on both manufacturers coming up with a true solution for the DI problem. Enthusiasts want a entry level sports car that not only handles well but is also reliable hint hint (S2K,MX-5). If anybody has connections with a car magazine it might be a good idea to mention this and the other DI threads in hope they will pressure both manufacturers to do something.
