That's why my 85' has a turbo diesel now. Mostly for the torque though.

My BRZ is my toy, so yes it gets driven hard. Just finished up a wet track day yesterday. Ever hit standing water at 105mph on cold Z3's? 1/10, would not recommend

I don't drive it hard, but I redline it every time I drive it.

My ‘83 with a fresh engine and long tube headers may be pushing 100hp at the crank I get so used to skipping 1-2-4-6 in the BRZ, often make the mistake of 1-2-4 in the old truck and immediately regret it.

I had LC headers and cam in my 22RE. Made a huge difference, would happily pull 35's with 4.88 gears. That is, until it exploded. We were able to salvage the block and used it and the electronics to convert my buddies 84 to fuel injection.

I’m lucky enough I live near a train station and catch the train to work, so mine is a weekend car. I usually redline it once a week when I drive on a favourite backroad on the weekend and I let it warm up beforehand. Usual “traffic driving” I don’t rev it out that much.

I bought the car to be driven, if you keep up the maintenance on time etc. you should be OK. As the saying goes: "A ship is safe in port but that's not what ships are for”.

I drive my car in the 3k range for the most part, but every now and then I like to open her up and take some hard turns

I’ll go 1–3-4 in the BRZ

I live in south Florida and I'm winding it out daily just to compete with traffic. I'm tuned on e85 too.

Metro Atlanta it’s the same here man. You either take the opening or sit behind people for 30 minutes.

2013 car, ~70000kms. approx 4 track days per year and 6 autocross events. I drive moderately on the street. It gets redlined maybe once a week outside of track events. I keep up on routine maintenance and I've had no serious issues to report. I've now been in not 1 but 2 accidents and there was no problem driving away from both.

I have a 2015 MT. with about 85,000km on it.

i redline it almost every time, and bang it off the rev limiter as much as i can.
break traction in 1st gear from time to time, but never really dumped the clutch above ~2000 rpm

so far so good. am really interested in seeing how it holds up.
