You're doing a sort of split routine. You don't feel too fatigued even though you're only giving yourself 48 hrs between HIIT exercises? I usually give myself about 2 1/2 to 3 days before doing another hard session like that.

I hate exercise with a passion. Unfortunately I am starting to get older and I really need to do some exercise. I'd really rather get fat and happy and die at 50, but unfortunately I doubt that is an option.

I stopped drinking soda and consuming any snacks with excessive amounts of sugars and fats a couple years back. I was amazed at how much of a difference this simple change to my diet made.

Basketball every day combined with free weight routines has kept the weight off.

I used to go 7 days a week.

1. Legs, 30-45 minutes of cardio (I've always just switched between treadmill, elliptical and bikes depending on what was available and had the best view)
2. Cardio (60 min)
3. Chest, tris, cardio (30-45)
4. cardio (60)
5. Shoulders, back, bi, cardio (30-45).
6. Right biceps and liver.
7. Right biceps and liver.

Then I stopped 9 years ago and went to shit. Really need to get back to it.

I've been trying to go to the gym when I can. Unfortunately between work and college it is very tough for me to get some good time at the gym. When I go it's for no more than a hour because thats about the only amount of time I get before they close. I go straight to school from work and then straight from school to the gym. After the gym I like to do yoga as well with the gf.

You interval train three times a week?! Are you a superhero? Do you even fat? Seriously, that's hard as hell. I think you're of superhuman caliber to be able to stay consistent on a routine like that .

My routine is a four day split.

Day 1: International chest day, biceps and core
Day 2: legs
Day 3: OMGRESTJESUSYES
Day 4: Shoulders, triceps and core
Day 5: Back, traps and forearms (at the gym though, not at home in front of a computer)
Day 6: OMGRESTJESUSYES / trying to avoid drinking
Day 7: OMGRESTJESUSYES

It's a four week cycling spread. First week is Heavy, Second week is Pre-exhaustion training, Third week is Medium and Fourth week is light. During the summer months I take Day 3 and 6 and HIIT train.

That's what I was saying! Normally the recommended amount of times to do HIIT training a week is 1-2

Oh yeah, for monday, you forgot calf as well!

I'd be lying if I said I never felt fatigued the next morning, but honestly more often than not I'm fine. I limit my HIIT sessions to around 35minutes and between my preworkout snack and supplement then next morning I'm usually feeling pretty solid and ready to go.

Ha ha thanks, my girlfriend is just as committed as I am so it helps. I am also a morning person, and used to do MMA for about five years, compared to my schedule back then this is tame.

A lot of my drive comes from not being able to workout for years because of complications with my health, which contributed to me stopping mma. I have been in remission for a few years now and feel great, wanting to stay that way acts as a very strong motivator.

That's great stuff bro, congrats on the victory. I hope you can stick with it, sounds like you enjoy it immensely. If you've an MMA past then I can see how this routine would be hard but not mind crushing. Props dude, much props.
