After much debating, I think I'm going to stay OEM and pick up a PT546-00140. That way I can retain the functionality of the stock bluetooth mic and not have to mess with jumping the USB connection...plus, I like the look of the unit.

Seems easy enough to pop the trim plate off, unbolt and unplug the existing HU, then replug and re-bolt the new one in....right? I've never done any sort of installs like this before, but I hate to pay someone to install something I can easily do myself. Tell me I can do it! RAWR!

that's pretty much it. You may have to transfer the brackets, I don't recall. I did because I added the GPS unit.

Got my PT546-00140 today....gonna switch it out tonight! Anything I need to know before I start? I think I'm most nervous about popping the damn trim plate off without breaking it....

I'm pretty proud of myself!! I swapped them out tonight, with some help from my awesome son. So glad I didn't have to pay someone to get this done.
