Dealer Option 30mm Drop Lowering Springs

The GT86 in Germany has an optional 30mm drop lowering suspension. I believe they are springs as they only cost 189 EUR = $234 USD. I tried to google this and went on the www.toyota.de website but could not find any details on the brand of springs. I think it is also available in the UAE. Is there anybody out there who knows German or is from the UAE and can find the brand of these springs? Just looking for alternatives to Tein or Eibach (unless someone can confirm that they're also Eibach).

Article link (there are many that exist) for reference: http://www.worldcarfans.com/11206014...#ixzz1wh5fIKVr

I have a strong suspicion they might be H&R springs because
1) H&R is based out of Germany.
2) They had direct ties with Toyota during the prototype stages:

3) I'm not finding any details on them because they may still be in development: http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/s...13&autoModClar=

If anyone in Germany (or maybe UAE) can call a dealer and confirm things, that may help.

In the UAE all they're saying is that they'll be offering 'TRD' parts starting in August.

They haven't said exactly what those parts will be yet. Not sure whether they'll be actual TRD parts or just marketed that way.

As I know TRD springs are produced by Eibach, aren´t they?!

Andrew, I think its one of them! Either Eibach or H+R!

EDIT:

here´s the link to a site of a Toyota brochure i posted some time ago (post #1061, couldn´t tag it)! http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...ion#post172637

I got your PM also. I guess we'll have to wait and see but I'm very curious because 30mm is pretty aggressive for a Toyota option (I'm used to seeing 15-20mm). I remember the Celica community assumed TRD USA springs were rebadged Eibachs which became accepted as fact due to popular belief but I never saw any solid confirmation. Also, TRD USA parts have been confirmed to be different than TRD Japan parts. Anyway, thanks and we look forward to finding out when you guys find out. I'll keep checking the Toyota websites as I think your guys' markets might publish an accessories catalog sometime soon.

Great! Can you post the part number and pics of the springs when you get them?

Also perhaps a before and after picture of the car taken directly from the side?

I didn't see the springs on the Toyota.de website? Are they on there or is direct order from the dealer?

Grüß!

With a little luck, my GT86 will arrive mid September. A before pic will be difficult, my dealer installs them and will pass the car to the TÜV before I see it for the first time .

No Problem for the after pics and pics from the spring, PM me after mid September if I forgot to post .

The springs where in the pre-purchase brochure but with no brand mentioned. Then at the moment I passed the order I've seen that the brand (Eibach) was mentioned in the dealer option list (only available to the dealer).

That's really cool to have as an option. Something to really consider.

No I did not order the OZ. I hope that the Sparco Assetto Gara will become available in 18x8 with ideal offset.
