Full throttle Electric Supercharger Build Thread

Have to reconnect the procede to the correct wire. Probably the one without voltage.

Okay, switch analog output on the procede to output 3, switch procede AUX connector to the copper wire on the foot switch. Got it.

*EDIT* @Sojhinn, @Shiv@Openflash: We have control. Going for a drive now

I read through 400+ pages when I first came in here a couple months ago but I don't remember reading if anybody using this had done before and after MPG averages. Can anybody with it on for a while give info on that? I am thinking more just driving normal kind of MPG as obviously with this on, the need to push the car harder probably just happens and skews the MPG.

I can tell you for the two weeks I had the on/off switch, my MPG went from 25 to around 20 because I drove it hard. But, on a highway run of 5 hours round trip, I was back up to 25 mpg.

Now that I have the procede working, I'm expecting it to go back to what it was before the install.

Speaking of which, the output channel change did the trick. It feels like night and day with the procede now. I'll wait a couple days to give a full review. Time to tidy up the wiring now.

Hi guys,
Just for future reference:

For Procedes with the metal box, this value needs to be set to Analog Output 4. For Procedes with the watherproof plastic box, this needs to be set to Analog Output 3. All the Procedes come preprogrammed properly. The only time you will see a problem is if you upload a map designed for a different Procede type. In that case, you will need to change this output channel. When you change the number, hit OK. The change will not take into effect until the Procede powers OFF and then back ON
Cheers

That explains it. I loaded @KoolBRZ's map before even testing things. Never would have guessed that without your help.

Thanks again! I'm glad we have this as a heads up for others now too.

Sorry, dude, I wasn't checking this thread. Are you all good now? How do you like the procede controller?

I remember when I was breaking in the first 1,000 miles, I babied it and got around 29mpg. Afterward the break in period, I averaged around 25mpg. After I got the ESC installed, i only got around 18-21mpg. I tested not activating the ESC for one tank of gas and got around 25mpg again.

During my roadtrip, I put on cruise control at 80mph and only activated the ESC once in a while to pass and averaged 35mpg!!

It's all good, Sojhinn and Shiv were really helpful with troubleshooting.

It's working perfectly now. I got the procede tucked in beside the glovebox, and on my drive to work today I was able to see why the procede is such a big deal. Having the boost available at the low end without needing to hit WOT makes it so smooth, but the car is so much more agile now.

I'm looking forward to my Dyno appointment in a couple of weeks, but not as much as my trip down to L.A. this weekend. Going to be a fun drive!

Remember, this is running Shiv's super safe daily driver tune and not a "dyno queen" tune that gives up safety to get a good number on the dyno. Sojhinn's previous e85 dyno was roughly the same.

Most important here are the nature of the power curves, area under the curve and the kind of driving character it makes. Which is to say fun. Still if a comparison is needed there was a JRSC Stg 1 CARB tuned for CA91 car that pulled 252 WHP and 198 WTQ today. The cost to put that together was substantial. Importantly that car was setup for something else entirely (track focused, fully caged) but the Phantom's 223 WHP and 207 WTQ compares favorably for the street and especially for the price and lack of complexity. Yup yup.

223 WHP / 207 WTQ - Me today
223 WHP / 200 WTQ - Sojhinn

@LucidMomentum I typically add 16.5% to get a crank equivalent for BHP and 12.5% for TQ this car so ballpark should be 260 WHP / 232 WTQ. I know this is not incredibly scientific, but it seems to work out when looking at the performance of similar p/w ratio RWD MT cars.

I agree with the heat probably effecting perdormance. Good point i was at the track here in florida losing 2-3 mph on my trap speed in 90F, 70%.

So on 93 e10 expext what about 210-215whp ?

Still curious on the 1/4 performance seems like only 1 person has done it...

That sounds about right. Looking at @BRZ-y 's car with a 1.0x kit on CA91 in that same stifling heat dyno'd a respectable 203WHP/182WTQ. So add 1.5 or v2.0 dumps a few more octane (to 93) and more reasonable weather and I could see him hitting 210 without a problem.

Of course he's already switched to e85 so he's probably putting down closer to 210 and 195 anyhow. He'll get my 1.5x batteries to bring him up closer to 217 and 200 and then his tune will match his setup exactly.

I'd definitely like to see more Phantom cars at the 1/4 mi as well (including mine ) I'll be hitting you up for tips!

Ok, finally got my Kit today and just got done installing everything...Except for the PWS.

I feel silly for asking but...Does the PWS bolt ON TOP OF of the bolt that's already there? or do I take the stock bolt off, then mount the PWS and put the bolt back on?

I only ask because the kit came with a bolt that was carefully taped to the PWS mount so I wasn't sure if Rob was being nice to give a spare, or if I was supposed to mount on top of the stock bolt.

Thanks.
