Tail Lights

I am looking into changing the back brake lights on my 2013 FRS. I want to have a smoky/black look to them. There are a few choices and I was hoping someone might have some pictures for me to look at. Here are a few below.

Edit, Not able to post the pics for some reason. If you have any Smokey/Black Brake lights please post a pic of what they look like on your car,

Thanks!

Stock will look best and not hurt any visibility of your brake lights.

Agreed....remember if your tails are too dark someone could claim they didn't see your brake lights....it could work against you if you ever got into an accident.
Just my 2 cents!

The Depo black housing version of the OEM tails have a sort-of smoked look...well, when compared to the chrome anyway.

REALLY!!

When I first started driving, my first vehicle had one small, 6V, tail light.

Due to safety concerns, auto manufacturers went to two tail lights that were larger and brighter.

NOW, some folks want to "smoke" or darken the tail lights, so they will be LESS visible ....... like back in the old days!

WHY?

Oh, they "look cool" ....??

Just how much time do you spend looking at the back of your car .....??

Do you really think other people driving behind you think ........oh, look at those cool tail lights ....... BTW, I can hardly see when his brake lights come on .......

OK, I gotta go, my drug dealer ...... errrrr ....... pharmacist, just called and said a fresh supply of my drugs ...... errrrr ....... medications were in ......

If someone slammed into the back of me and then tried saying they couldn't see my tail lights I'd actually piss myself. I see the argument you guys are making, if you tint tail lights that were never made to be tinted yes, thats on you. If you buy a pair of blacked out lights from say Valenti that are DOT approved with DOT stamping on the housing, absolutely no way I'd have that shit fly. Those lights are much brighter to compensate for the tint.

I know, @Tcoat .....I've asked this before .......

Why oh why, do some folks want headlights so damn bright, that an oncoming car looks like an airplane landing in front of you ....... THEN darken the taillights so they can hardly be seen ........

Define "look best". They all look like crap to me since I like the stock appearance of the pre 17s.
What ones do you like best?
