More good news! Along with getting accepted into USC, i got into the Honors College as well. #1 public Honors College and #1 public International Business Program in the country. I also turned 18 on Christmas day!

But back to the car...

Installed the FT86 Speedfactory passenger side exhaust hole cover today. It makes the rear end look less MEH with a single exit/track pipe. Also, coilovers are on the way!

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and has a Happy New Year.

Approximately one month after ordering, the coilovers are here!

Fortune Auto 500 Series. 8k/7k with the front roller bearing upgrades and rear extenders for the damping adjustment. Hoping to throw them on next weekend.

Coilovers installed!

Bolted them in on Saturday, did all the final checks and adjustments on Sunday. Then drove it to school this morning.

I didn't want to go very low, just a mild drop until i get new wheels. I forgot to take wheel gap measurements before install but it's now about a 2-finger gap all around (approximately 12 cm from the top of the wheel to the fender lip on each corner). I set damping at 12/24 clicks all around and am going to leave it that way for a while before tinkering. Front camber is set at 2 notches from centered, which equates to slightly negative. The rear is a degree or more negative than the fronts, but i'll be ordering RLCAs soon and then getting a proper alignment.

As far as the ride...it's fantastic. Less body roll and more confidence in the corners is really nice. However, the area that has made the biggest impression on me is the damping. I have Stance Coilovers on my FC with 9k/7k springs and the ride is far more harsh. These Fortunes feel more supple while not feeling like they sacrifice performance. Really looking forward to seeing how they perform in Auto X and at some track days this spring.

Snow Day Update:

Forgot to take a picture of the car in the snow two weeks ago but since it's snowing AGAIN i figured i would this time. Unfortunately it doesn't get a spot in the garage as those are occupied by the GT-R and FC The good thing about the snow down here is that they're so quick to cancel school, so i've been working on my low traction/snow driving skills all day in our old RWD GMC Yukon.

Also got some new parts, Parts Shop Max RLCAs. I've used PSM stuff on my FC and it's great, so when i saw that they came out with these arms at such a competitive price ($220 per set) i had to grab some. Throwing them on whenever i get the chance.

You'll love them. They dropped my car way more than I wanted and that was on the 25 mm hole instead of the 40 mm hole.

The fact that they drop it at least 25mm was the only thing i wasn't crazy about, but i can just compensate by adjusting the height of the coilovers. But otherwise you're happy with them? And especially the construction and range of adjustment?

The fact that they drop the car down is a good thing. That means you can still be at the ride height you want without sacrificing as much travel in the shocks. If I got the MAX LCAs, I'd mount them in the bottom hole to gain back as much travel as possible at low ride height.
