Salvage title is going to put a huge damper on things. Most people won't buy a salvage title because it's difficult to insure.

Really? Is that true? Didn't know that.

To the OP, 9k-11k sounds about right.

The problem won't be so much that its difficult to insure. The problem will be there are many of these cars out there with similar miles and mods that don't have a salvage title that will make it a tough sell even at that price point. I think the price your looking at is on point though.

Guys its not a salvage. Its rebuilt. which is much easier to deal with. And it just means it has newer parts. I say put it up for your asking price and someone will get a deal on a discounted car.

Most cars are bound to be in an accident anyhow. why not save the money and get one that has already been tainted.

It says right in the OP it has a salvage title....This does not go away when it is rebuilt. Once it is given a salvage title that does not go away ever.

Well the OP is a breath of fresh air in realizing the value of his vehicle. The 9 to 11K should be right on the mark for a rebuilt salvage in just about any market.

I'm pretty sure a salvage car can be rebuilt. And will be branded as R. I had a salvage M3 that went through the process and the title was branded Reconstructed.

Things must work differently in PA then because I've never heard of that here in MN.

There was a salvaged firestorm frs by me that sold for 11k recently. It had 13,000 miles on the clock.

The thing too is that the people that want to finance cannot finance a salvaged titled car through their banks.

Think you will find that this will vary from state to state. Don't believe they all have the same system.

Many places do not differentiate between salvage and rebuilt, crashed is crashed for all the things that matter in this case: insurance, financing, and resale.

Here in Texas rebuilt and salvage are pretty much the same thing. You get a wreck car from the auto action with a salvage title. Than you repair it and they give you a "rebuilt" title. It doesn't really matter either way because it isn't a clean title.

No issues getting insurance here, but depending on which state you live in you may or may not be able to get full coverage on a rebuilt/salvage car.
