Glove Compartment Not Closing on the Right Corner

My glove compartment seems imbalanced and never closes completely on the right side, so I have to "slam" it to get it shut. I do not know if this is a defect or not...

Mine did that too. I just push up on the right corner till it clicks - there is a catch there. Lucky I dont go into the glove box often. It bugs me too.

Mine has been that way since new. No biggy...just push that corner after closing. Rather have it a bit this way to insure clean shut lines and no rattle.

I was noticing this the other day as well. This isn't what I'd call a defect so much as it's just DUMB design, and I hope the engineer who did this one reads this.

Of course you're going to see an asymmetric loading condition like this. The glovebox is opened by the driver 99.99999% of the time. You learn over and stretch to do that.

I noticed if I didn't push it closed from the center it would do that. Seems trying to close it while reaching over you'll tend to put pressure off to the drivers side.
