Rubbermaid makes a similar product for less than half that price, for those interested. I bought some (didn't know these existed). Got them on Amazon, and cut the tags off with a razor blade when the arrived to make them look cleaner. Work great.

I didn't have the rub noise, just wanted the pads.

Thank you all for the replies!

The booster seat product is a good idea, but looks like butt.

I have read up extensively on the Emdom pads, but when those are installed, the belt doesn't easily pass through the pad. The result is that the belts don't retract into the B-pillars, they just flop around when you unbuckle. I think I would find that annoying too.

A swap to BRZ Premium or FRS straps would be ideal, but it's not a direct plug-and-play.

I think a cloth cover for the leather retaining strap itself would be ideal, but nobody makes one!

LOLWUT?

If that's the case then there's something else wrong with those peoples belts, I've never had a problem with mine retracting.

Is your Emdom pad looped into the seatbelt retaining strap on the seatback? Others have reported that when it is, the belt doesn't easily retract through the Emdom pad. Maybe they have theirs too tightly secured around the belt. Either way, it's not the ideal product for me. An Alcantera sleeve to fit over the seatbelt retaining strap would be great.

Yep.
I'm guessing its the latter for those people.

Alcantara all the way.
If you cant find one, I'm sure you could get someone to make it.

No issues either; mine just slides right through.

This has been bugging me for 20k miles. Surprised this is the first I've seen talk of it. I usually move the strap around twisting it on the snap to eliminate some of the noise. Haven't found a better solution yet.
