Hey everyone, just had a quick question to see what your preference is. Just started to get the chirp which I believe is associated to the idler pulley. What do you prefer/better build? The nu line ep121, or Daycos 89505. Appreciate the response.

70mm outside, 26mm wide 17mm inner diameter, People switch to 76mm outside (nuline 121) for tighter belt wrap when going smaller pulley with 69mm pulley it keeps same ratio. Dorman and gates make them as well. Just look at the catalog for a flat none grooved pulley in those dimensions. |

I’m running a 70mm pulley but am on a 61010 belt. Don’t think I could go with a larger pulley. I think I just need a replacement size. Are those the dimensions I need above? Appreciate the advice Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

but the other benefit of a larger idler is it pushes the belt in closer to the SC pulley giving the sc pulley more belt wrap, not just tightening the slack from a smaller sc pulley. I don't know the exact numbers but its something like stock is 40% of the SC pulley is touching belt, with 76mm idler it's like 45% of sc pulley is touching belt or roughly a 10% increase. Just something to think about. |

If I did purchase the larger pulley I need to compensate with the belt size as well and switch to the 61015? Just want to make sure before purchase so I can grab them simultaneously. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Do you not have the original belt the kit came with? Lot of people use the nuline ep121 with 69/70mm SC pulley with that belt and had good results. |

How much oil does this SC drink roughly? And what kind of oil do you have to keep feeding it? I’m also wondering how bad sucking in oil into the intake must be for the motor...

I’m gonna opt for the larger one . Do you think I can run the gates RPM belt or just stick with the Micro-V belt? This gates one should work? https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/b...s+36600+&pos=0 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by jhalagian; 09-03-2019 at 11:01 AM. |

Gates K061015 Multi V-Groove Belt is what I am using with my 72.5mm pulley and the gates idler pulley as a replacement. Will be throwing on the 70mm soon and can report if everything goes well with that

That belt is going to be too big for you with the smaller s/c pulley. Unless you change out the idler pulley to the larger one. The recommended belt size for the 69/70mm is the Gates K061010 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Im using dorman 419-610, 76mm OD 17mm ID same 12mm bearing depth, but 31mm width 6mm wider then original so no worries about belt hoping off. I tried nuline ep141 its 29mm width but bearing depth is 14mm so the bearing guide insert didn't fully extend the entire way, started slowly leaking out bearing lube, still worked/works fine atm but was paranoid about future bearing failure so switched. And the dorman is only 8$ free same day shipping on amazon installed it but haven't tested it yet, no reason to think it won't work perfectly fine by looking at it/installing it.

I can’t tell what the bearing depth is on the gates one but it’s 76mm OD 28mm width 17mm. It’s order so I’ll report back.
