Are you 100% its plug and play? Going from the new full LED to half LED on the old lights??

How many people have done the opposite swap? It is 100% plug and play. Although, going from the old lights to the new ones requires a different flasher relay, but your current one will be fine for the old lights.

Yep. Plugs right in but needs the relay and gasket. Think about everyone that swaps to aftermarket tails that are full LED on the Zenki without issue as well so it's not like this is a unique situation.

Biggest question I had was worrying about the wiring for the turn signal on the zenki. Just trying to figure out what I need to swap onto the Kouki haha.

I'm a parts guy for the germans. And my toyota team isnt quite confident on what I need for the swap, Are you saying Kouki will need a a relay for Zenki?

Sorry, I forgot what the original thread was about. I am not sure if you need a new relay since you are goin from full LED to not. Your relay may work in that case but I dont know. Relays are needed for sure going the opposite (non-led to LED)

And as I said earlier you will need the correct gaskets as well to avoid condensation.

Trial by fire lol. I like it.
I'll report back next month once they're ordered and the weather in nicer.

The worst that happens is it flashes funny (maybe super slow?). Shouldn't do any damage. And if you put in LEDs instead of regular bulbs it will work perfectly with your stock relay anyway.

Neat. Who'd a thunk that going from an incandescent signal to an LED signal would not cause hyperflash.

That said I love both the subie and the 86 and I don't regret my decision in the least. What's actually killing me is whether I debadge my brz or not, I love the clean rear of the 86 but I like to keep things stock so

Had to have my 860 SE brought in from north Florida, and have only seen one other. Moving back to the St.Pete Clearwater area in a couple weeks so we’ll see if there’s any up there. 🤷🏼*♂️

Yeah I was pleasantly surprised - 6 months and no flashing issues. Must only need a relay for aftermarket ones.

to be honest 2012-2016 stock tail is very very well designed.... ppl just don't like them cuz the car came with it.

Myself included.
