Thanks for all the help guys. I believe it is due to rubber sticking to the window, as it does seem to improve as it cools down. However, possibly might be as Ultra has mentioned, but no way for me to confirm...

Either way, if I leave it, are there any long-term consequences (apart from the annoying sound)? I don't want to bring back to the dealer...last time I got the window TSB and taillights TSB done, I had to take time off work just to bring it in and they kept my car for two days...

If it is the rubbers ticking then you run the risk of splitting it or pulling it out. Easy to tell if that is the problem. Just clean it up well and see if it stops.

If it is the drop/jamb issue that is a bigger deal because you could have the window come off the guides and then things get really interesting.

Lazy assholes. It'll get worse as the regulator wears out.

Bring it down to me if you don't mind the trip. It took a while for Tony's dealer because they had to figure out the goofiness. If I was up against the clock, I could do it in less than an hour.

I take my time with everything.

Cleaned and lubed again and still making the noise, so I think it's the issue ultra described. Don't have time to bring to my dealer and I don't think they will fix it to be honest...hopefully it'll last another 2 years or so until I trade in my car for something else...

Oddly enough, I just noticed this started happening to my driver's side window as well. I could be mistaken, but it almost seems like the glass shifts very slightly forward near the end of the travel. Taking mine to the dealer, which has been exceptionally good to me over the years (bought a Celica and two Z cars from them).

At least take it and have them look at it. You never know they may fix it no problem. That is what they are there for after all.

It looks like I'm having the same issue on both my doors... took it to the dealer and they said I'm out of warranty...
@Ultramaroon, or anyone have a picture of the offending part that we need to adjust? I'd like to try myself.

Take a look through the TSB it gives you the step by step. It is mostly the glass lifters you are looking at.
