Like all things in life, cheapest is always the best. Just like a walmart appliance, this header will make a passable impression of being a decent at it's job (to those who have no idea) and fail early in life. You will throw it away and buy a new one.

Is there any specific reason as to why it sucks?

Agency Power was one of the first companies to produce a full exhaust system for the FT86. They were also one of the first to produce full dynos showing their claimed hp and torque gains, which were eventually found to be "inaccurate" (the header did not yield any gains even with the delete of the primary cat- even with tuning). Their catback also had issues with falling apart with track use as per a user named "pcasso".

Sounds good? Yes. Good Quality? No.

Again detailed in AP dealings with pcasso who goes by a different name now which escapes me at the moment.

I wouldn't believe a single AP dyno. They tried to claim their light weight pulley made 12whp on the forums.... It was a ugly thread by the end of it.

I had an agency over/mid pipe combo.

When I went to uninstall it due to being super raspy/loud, I had to cut it apart because it fused together where the slip joint was due to the clamp. Could not get it apart even with a BFH and cursing (this usually works on everything else). Had to sawzall it.

Never. Again.

So, one guy had a problem with a cat back......and that makes it suck.....

Too many posters just say "don't, it sux" with no data to back this claim, or links to show why....they do not even explain why. And I bet they never owned one either

Kind of reminds me of sheep following the first one in a flock over the cliff.

I am happy with my cat back and no problems......but I have no experience with the header and can not say. (if there was a cat'ed version I would get one)

fyi, people have gotten warnings for saying bad things about vendors on this forum. I have no idea how VR/AP stays in business other than they are leading the race to the bottom concerning price/quality. I have followed their products as a subaru enthusiast for over a decade. They have always sucked.
