I'm all for more lightweight RWD cars on the market (86, Supra, and now this). And from Toyota, no less!
This is starting to change my impression of Toyota as a brand. No longer just a manufacturer of FWD appliances.

Growing up, the family has owned: 1964 Lotus Elan, several old 4 speed Alfa spyders, several CRXs, integra Type R, S2000, NSX, Civic coupes, Civic Hatch and FRS.
I like small, 4 cyl cars with low HP. You can thrash on them, more fun at reasonable speeds, great MPGs, and easy to work on. The next Gen Miata and now this are really appealing. I'm glad I have my FRS, gives me time to sit back and enjoy it until something else comes a long.

Exactly. Neither Drawing or mule are mid-engine. A hot hatch has its place but is NOT an MR2 replacement, and its place is not in my driveway.

I really hope they make this car, although I'm not holding my breath. If they do, I reckon it'll be even more of a blast to drive than the FRS!
