You should have the WRX STI RA for the high speed parts.

Since the last time I updated this thread, I had a chance to go visit my dad, and had a chance to drive his BRZ. It was really interesting, as I drove it with 18" wheels with Michelin Pilot Sports, so I could really tell the difference in the chassis mods the tS has. The turn in on the tS is noticeably stiffer, and the car corners way flatter than the series yellow. I gotta say, I really like the yellow stitched interior of his car, and the paint color. It looks great in person.
One of the biggest differences I noticed was the head unit. The 2017 is really frustrating to use in comparison to the how user-friendly the 2018 is.

Another thing I did while I was there was pull out my old Supra from where it had been sitting under a tree for a long time. I replaced the tires, did a lot of maintenance, and had the paint buffed out. It has new injectors, brakes, ignition system, aero, and an entire oem grey interior waiting to go in, next time I'm in Wisconsin.

And of course we had to go on a drive together:

I've also been taking fun touge drives with the AE86 once I got back to California.

This past weekend I changed out the tires to Yokohama ADVAN A048's and the pads to WINMAX W2's in prep for a track day at Willow Springs.

The car was amazing. I was able to pull off a 1:32.7 as my best lap of the day, which I was extremely happy with, as it was my first time running counter-clockwise on this track.

Would any of you guys would be interested in a build thread on either my AE86 or Supra?

Of course!

Also I love the body style on that gen Supra. I've been in one ONCE and I remember being super impressed by the acceleration. What a fun car!

I'm from Madison...lived there for 30 years. My wife grew up in Platteville when she was very young before moving to LaCrosse and eventually Madison where we met. We have family/friends all over central/southern Wisconsin, northern Illinois, and eastern Iowa.

Finally some progress on mine.
About two weeks ago I installed Tein Flex-A coilovers with hydraulic bumpstops, and EDFC active Pro. It's made a world of difference. With a softer spring pre-load, the car absolutely glides down the freeway, then automatically firms up when it's time to corner. It's the best mod I've ever done.
I also installed Endless SS-Y street pads into the Brembos. These are really great, perfect pedal feel, great initial bite.

Since I finally lowered the car, it was time to put some of my wheels on it.
I decided to once again match my dad, in running Rotiform cast-construction KPS, but did it in a different size, 18x9.5 +35 all the way around instead of 18x8.5 +35. These are usually meant to be run together as a staggered setup, but I wanted to keep everything square. The 9.5's also have a concave face, whereas the 8.5"s have a flat face. For the finish, I pulled some strings, had a set pulled out and sent down the paint line, where they were stripped and re-powdercoated a custom Sandstorm Champagne. I had liked the champagne finish on the TRD wheels I saw in Japan, so went with something similar.

The clearance on the front brakes was tight enough I was worried about heat expansion causing the wheels to scrub the surface of the calipers, so I put 3mm spacers all around.

I reused my Rays lugnuts and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S's, and installed upgraded red and gold Rotiform centercaps.

Here's the finished result. As you can see, our two cars are different, yet stick to a common theme.

For comparison:

And as a side note, my mom didn't want to be left out, so she picked up a new car of her own and has already installed OZ rally wheels on it.

What size MPS4S tires are those? They looked stretched.

I realize Michelins tend to run a bit narrow. I just got the MPS4S put on my 17x9 wheels in 245/40/17.

They are 225/40-18, and they are stretched. I had recently purchased new PS4S’s for my stock wheels, and didn’t want to waste them so just put them on the new Rotiforms. I’ll probably upgrade to 245/35 when the time comes to switch them out.

Nice update!

Really curious how those pads will do. Let me know once you've done some canyon carving as well as street driving. I'm at about 30-40% life left in my stock pads so it's almost time and I've been looking at different options that work with the PP Brembos.
