A bit more power and a bit lighter and not fucking up the current formula, but to be honest I'm more worried about what they'll add in. Emergency brake assist, lane departure warning and all that other shit that beaps at you. Subaru has a hard-on for a five star safety rating and you need this sort of crap to achieve it now, apparently? So yes progress but not regress forward.

Just swap the engine with FA20F straight from WRX and stay conservative with design.

Westen you are really reaching for the stars, I like it! The biggest question I have is what chassis will the 2nd gen twins be based on? Subies global platform isn’t set up for RWD, and Toyota’s global platform isn’t set up for a boxer engine. Sooooo, will the new 86 be AWD (I really hope not), or have a Toyota engine? That would mean the 2nd gen 86/BRZ wouldn’t have much Subaru in it at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Have the trims include an RS like they did with the Evo 8. Crank windows, no a/c, carbon roof, and include a 17x9 lightweight wheel with a nice tire.
And you know what? Let's really aim high here - how about some better factory subframe bushings? |

-More torque
-Bigger tank -Keep weight at 2800 or less It’s already a great car, it doesn’t need much.

Lol if they make it, it will be Japan-only. Also, I bet crank windows are actually more expensive nowadays...

Lawl. The price. Launch the car at or below $26,985. If the price goes up, they better have greatly improved the overall fit and finish.
