I'd much rather have JDM parts than crappy fitting/looking parts from American companies. /shrug

I think the biggest problem with the 'JDM' trend is that 90% of the stuff that people claim is 'JDM' isn't. JDM means Japanese Domestic Market. But most people think it's just made by Japanese companies. Apexi, HKS, Volk, etc... are not JDM products, if you can ALSO buy them in North America. Then there is crap like the Honda product company Password JDM, which I believe is a US company.

My car is JDM, you can tell because of the way I'm always grinding third gear with my left hand. It came with a JDM oil filter (Drivejoy was the name of the company), since removed. I bought it because it was a screaming good deal, not to be JDM. As for every mod since then has been quality North American sourced. A couple big dollar parts were US made, and excellent quality.

The crappy fitting/looking parts are usually from American companies retailing Chinese made parts.

I mean more of the trend, not the parts. Just because you put a roof rack on your integra doesnt make it JDM. And you know what im talking about. JDM is the most over used word. It is just an excuse to put dumb things on/in your car and get away with it.
