These events have Dyno's, Drag racing, Gymkhana's , track days, all the competitive events where you can see who makes 1 more kw than the other,

Here's the link to registration:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1nom...VZ8IQ/viewform

Do it, you know you want to
Shiren... Prepare for first-in-class glory!

I'm considering signing up. I probably won't venture out of Gauteng though.

Are the gymkhana events wet / dry conditions? I'm over polishing out water spots... ghhaargh

Just a hunch...
Last year there was a dry gymkhana event (Go Kart track) and a wet event (Zwartkops skidpan),

Lol, I don't think winning the class will be that easy,

Last year Marco Van Der Schyff from the N/A class came out third in the championship overall.
His sister and him were in the white BMW e36 (328i) that you always see out on track and the skidpan,

So never underestimate the N/A class

I heard about them building up a 135i recently, but even if they return with the 328i and whitewash the N/A class again, it would be an honor riding in the same class as them,

The brother and sister pair are insanely skilled drivers and do RedStar in 2.21.449 / Zwartkops in 1.17.924 and win most of the gymkhana's

Lets see which car they register with this year,

In addition to them,
I also know of Wikus from GW Delarey who is building a beast of a VW Caddy, spent a few minutes reading his build thread and its very impressive!

https://vwclub.co.za/forum/viewtopic...addy&start=550

So N/A class looks like its going to be a challenge

Registration closes 31/12/2015!

Have no regrets

Michelin Cup - Zwartkops 28 Feb 2016.

@FT_86_SM_GT - You've seen these clips before, but this is just a reminder of how quick you actually are.

You're only about half a second off these lap times (mid 1:18's) and these drivers felt good enough about thier performance to put their videos on YouTube.

I chatted to the guy in the Stillen supercharged 350Z that day (Grant).
He was running same tyres as me - Bridgestone RE11S semis, 225/45R17.

Ferrari 360 Challenge Car, timed on the 100m mark before T5.
Must say that it sounds brilliant!!

Michelin Cup - 2016 - Round 1 : Dyno

Round 1 - 2016 - Dyno

http://www.michelincup.co.za/

Date: 30th Jan 2016

Location: SVtech
2 Koevoet Street, Kya Sands
Gauteng

Time: 8:00am

Costs:
Registered Members: R200 4wd / R150 rwd/fwd
Non Registered Members: R300 4wd / R250 rwd/fwd

This Saturday there will be Live scoring for the very first time on the dyno as the day goes!
Follow this link to see how it unfolds:

Live scoring:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...25&single=true

Scoring:
1.Classes will be grouped based of kw
2.Scoring will be based on your best combined kw+nm.
E.g. If you scored 200kw and 400nm your score will be 600. If someone else makes 180kw & 421nm their score will be 601.

Pics and hopefully a video to follow

I was hoping to try out an e50 tune(Ethanol) for this competition, but I have been swamped with work recently, working on weekends as well, and have not had a chance with time to get this done. But confident with my 95ron tune from PhoenixPerformance which is reliable enough to use as a daily driver and compete on the weekends

The line up of cars and competitors looks exciting!

Envy you, sadly down here at the coast we don't have any tracks...

This is something I would be keen on, but with work I can forget about driving up for the day.

Enjoy it and goodluck!
