The seats are also a different, apparently higher quality cloth.

yea good call i forgot about that. They don't have the red accents like the FR-S does. the FR-S i think also has the same quality cloth though, not 100% sure but it's also the microfiber type

As it turns out, the 'darkside of my anus' is one of the last regions to receive an allotment of BRZs.

Moda MD13 16" x 7 weight 16.6. about $90 each at tire rack. They have 17s too. Not the lightest wheel around but they are not heavy and for the price they are well built and sturdy which I need for these Ohio roads.

I do think it's funny that the sales people have to train to sell them... when I actually think the vehicles will sell themselves. IMO, people buying them (certainly at this point) are already fully aware of the offerings / specs. It's just not the same as a person walking onto a lot looking for what car to buy. BRZ owners (at least for now) know what they're going for, and have specific reasons for picking the BRZ. Again, IMO...

Man I cannot wait for mine! lol

One of the salesman was walking out the door towards the car and another salesman from the Honda dealer next door asked him if the BRZ was 4WD. He said and I quote "Yes, they all are." I corrected him.

They actually thought I was from the Toyota dealership because of the MR2. The guy said, "Oh Yeah, I forgot you guys are selling these too." I did not correct him.

They really know nothing about this car! This is literally their first exposure to it. One guy told me there is a big event in Alabama or Louisiana coming up to intro the car and a lot of them get to go down there. He said it was going to be a big party!

Have you not purchased a new car from a dealer before? In my 22 years of visiting dealerships, only one time did I have one tell me something I did not know about the vehicle I was looking at.

However, every single one of them knew significantly less about the rest of the car. The most common excuse? "I've only worked here X weeks/months".

I can picture the dealer making their own commercial to put on local cable:

Subaru BRZ: All-wheel-drive, that's all I'll drive!

+1. My BRZ arrived in Seattle, so I'm going through all of the paper work for the loan & insurance right now. The guy at the dealership was telling me about the Subaru "gold plus" warranty. He mentioned that if anything goes wrong with the turbo, it'll be covered. I just held my tongue... but went with the warranty anyways.
