I was feeling kinda concerned when seeing the under-the-hood shot of the belt and the pulley. They seemed really close to the hood of the car. Under hard throttle/stress, couldn't the motor twist in ways to potentially make contact between the pulley/belt and the hood? sorry is that sounds stupid, I'm just curious
Watch some dyno videos of a stock engine to see how soft the mounts are. You want new engine mounts regardless of this modification and with a supercharger or any serious power you'd want new mounts.

You'd want them for power transmission purposes anyway, as you can feel the slop in this car real well once you throw on summer shoes.

That must be with a BRZ-edit flash ? I mean a ECuTeck flash would nearly 33% of the price.

The current price of $3495 is including the ECUTEK cable and flash. (Assuming there are no ECUTEK, or other component cost increases.) This has been mentioned, but the cable is treated as a loss leader and the tune as a development expense. These costs are absorbed in to the total price of the kit. If you factor in the average price of an ECUTEK cable and canned flash (included) the supercharger kit's price is even lower then some JDM exhaust systems. Short version, we just do not make any money on the cable...

Thanks. I believe I chatted with you 2 weeks ago (Sunday), if you are who I think you are. You were very helpful.

If we already have a cable and license, will that price be discounted? If so, do you know by how much? There is no need for me to have 2 licenses and 2 cables, so hopefully I can just pay for the tune only.

I recall them saying WAY back that the price would be the same regardless of if you have a cable or not, because they are not charging you for the cable. Hell, he just said it again in this post. They don't make money on the cable, it's counted as a loss leader. That means that the kit would cost the same, even if you tell them "hey, keep the cable, give it to someone else"

There are plenty of people who will buy your cable, so just sell it on the forums if you decide to buy the kit.

Holy crap, that performance/dollar ratio is ridiculously good.

I was actually just thinking the same. I might actually make more off the cable, than what they can discount. Thanks for the suggestion.

Are they still planning to offer an intercooler upgrade kit? If that's a certain, I may go for non-intercooled since it seems like they won't be releasing the intercooled kit at the same time as the non-intercooled.

In the same boat @Draco-REX...want the Intercooled kit, but will probably buy the non-intercooled and look to upgrade down the road when its released (or offered).

Just something about running F/I without an Intercooler makes the tightness of my pants from this kit turn flaccid and loose lol

I too would like some extra safety margin with an intercooler.

However, this helps ease some of my hesitation to go non-intercooled:
http://kennebell.net/KBWebsite/Commo...romcatalog.pdf

Pay particular attention to the blue thermometer at 5.8 psi and 8.8 psi. Those IAT's are really not bad for non-intercooled FI. Of course this is not actual data from this kit but it is something to consider.
