Bummer....I was hoping it wouldn't require so much work.

By the way, is it possible to remove elbow without removing the blower unit itself?

By the way, are you sure the circle in the picture is where the PCV is? I thought it was a little further back, right below the supercharger elbow. Which is why I thought just removing the elbow may be sufficient.

Which brings me to another question: Is it possible to remove elbow without removing the blower unit itself?

100% sure. That little nipple sticking up is the pcv valve. Zoom in on the pic a bit to see it.

LoL yeah I realised that after looking a little closer...

How many miles have you done with the supercharger? Just thinking if I should fit the catch can ASAP, or wait till I've got a little more time later on.

PCV blowby. I'm redoing the system with a new pcv valve and a dual radium catch can setup with a check valve in between the catch can outlet and the crankcase inlet on the back of the supercharger ( the middle one ).

Only had the system on for 6k miles and my old catch can (ADD W1) didn't catch shit ever. I plan on keeping the car for a long time so engine longevity is a huge must. Hopefully the radium cans will live up to the hype.

So you accumulated all that oil inside the blower even with the old catch can in place? Do you know why it didn't do it's job?

Innovate (Sprintex) Supercharger Owners Topic

Crappy design I'm guessing. The inlet comes in through the side of the catch can rather than the top so it doesn't really filter anything. The interior baffling design is really bland as well. If you want to see an awesome catch can look up elite engineering e2.....it's what I have on my corvette and its an extremely well built can with excellent baffling.

Ok so I need some advice if this method will work?

- Leave the factory PCV fitting in place (too hard to access without removing blower)
- Disconnect hose from middle brass fitting. Extend this hose and plug into top of catch can.
- Insert new hose to vacant middle brass fitting. Plug other end of this hose to bottom of catch can.

Now I've also got some check valves, which line should I fit it to? Both?

The check valve will go between the outlet of the catch can and the middle brass fitting on the supercharger. Make sure the arrow is facing towards the supercharger. I haven't been able to do any of this to mine yet as I'm on call at work. I'll post pics as soon as I can though.

Why a check valve? The PCV acts like one to keep air from going back into the crank case, and the blower elbow is always under some vacuum.

Just to be on the safe side. The pcv valve on our cars is pretty weak. I got a brand new one from toyota and I can blow air back through it. It's just an extra precaution to keep the crankcase from potentially being pressurized.
