They only make a 17x9 for this application.

But to answer your question a 18x8 could fit depending on spoke design, offset, etc

Hello, I currently have just eibach sportlines 1.5 drop with 245/4017. So I was wondering if I would be able to dial in -1.2 F and -1 R without any rubbing issues? I wanted to run a bit of camber for handling and to tuck the fronts to make it more flush. I also have 5mm spacer incase I do.

The rear won't be an issue. In regards to the front, we need to keep inner strut clearance in mind and there are a lot of contributing factors at play. Does your BRZ have the Performance Package with the Sachs struts? Also, are you attempting to dial in negative camber by installing camber bolts, or will you be installing adjustable camber plates? Last, what tire model do you have (not all are created equal).

Would Sachs struts reduce the clearance tolerance? I would like to pair it with OEM camber bolts at the front (-1.2 deg). Thank you.

Correct, there is very little clearance between the Sach struts and a 17x9" ET42 wheel. Some 245/40-17 tires will clear, while others may require 3mm or 5mm spacers to avoid contact (not all tires are created equal).

Camber bolts cannot effectively be used with this configuration, as it diminishes clearance further and will lead to rubbing the front suspension. Ultimately adjustable camber plates are the better solution. Not only can do they have have a broader range of camber (and caster adjustment), the tolerance between the wheel/tire and the suspension goes unchanged as everything loves in harmony.

If the goal is to maximize performance and increase tire longevity for spirited driving/track use, adjustable camber plates are a no brainer and will pay for themselves quickly. If an enthusiast simply wants to dial in a little negative camber for aesthetics/fitment, then camber bolts are certainly an inexpensive way to accomplish it but a lower offset 9" wheel or spacers would need to be used.

We'll soon have 9" ET35 wheels available which will have 7mm of extra strut clearance in comparison to the ET42, however, negative camber will be a requirement to then clear the outer fenders.

Agreed, adjusting camber at the knuckle is popular amongst 86/BRZ owners. It is inexpensive and can be quite effective for a number of drivers out there. My statements were in response to Jmarks question (on page 1 and quoted again below for reference) about how coilovers with camber plates dial in camber differently than camber bolts at the knuckle.

Many enthusiasts performing the camber bolt mod may not understand the pros/cons of going this route vs. dialing in camber at the top through camber plates. Compromising inner clearance between wheel/tire and front struts is not ideal for enthusiasts wanting to run wide wheels and tires, and track enthusiast will want a broader range of camber (and caster adjustment) anyways.

We just released our new EC-7R forged line of wheels for the 86/BRZ this week, and that line offers Satin Gold (see picture in signature). I must say, the gold finish is pretty epic in the EC-7R design with the concave spokes. Everyone who has seen them in person is pretty blown away.

We will likely add Satin Gold to the ARC-8 flow form line of wheels as well
