new GT86 owner in Melbourne Australia

Hi All,

Just picked up my 2014 GT86 - GTS last week, been looking to get this for a few years now and really happy with it - it got approx 34XXX KM's so feels pretty mint - although the car did come with 19" wheels on so I'm gonna get some hate lol

Changes planned include :

OFT
Subtle Exterior mods - i.s not rocketbunny
Exhaust
Wheels
Coilovers

Still got my 2011 Golf GTI as my DD so this is my fun car.

Let the fun begin!!

Gary

Cool Hi all from CAli

Wanted to say hello and what is up with how long it takes to get on this site? I am impatient sorry. Actually I do not own a 86, but my best friends just bought an awesome 2018-- white -best wheels ever! Problem being..they are ..umm..technology handicapped. While we were driving pal got a phone call and answered from her purse. WTF? She tells me that her car does not have that option..Brain is leaking out of my ears..She went on to tell me that the drivers seat is stationary...Holy crap...Ok I have a KIa soul + and I have a great gps -bluetooth etc/ Kills me they are not using this car to potential. 34,000 cash. WTF? So i showed them how to move the drivers seat but that pissed them off, not sure why..pump it..They claim not to have back up cam.Voice recognition etc..This is not a punk post... this is happening..Please, please will someone tell me so I can show them what their car can do. I told him about the boxer engine..please help. best looking ride I have ever seen! thanks all!

Hey here,

New member from Virginia. My name is Brody.
I’ve got a 2013 brz, lookin* for some info on my SD card. My card somehow got cleared of everything when I brought it in for maintenance... not sure how or why, but I’m looking to get a new updated one. Not sure where the best place to look is.

Thanks!

Whatup guys! I just traded in my 08 350z for a 2013 BRZ and I now know why there is such a massive fan base behind this car. I bought the car completely stock but I have already purchased an Invidia N1 catback exhaust w/ TI Tips. I'm not looking for a ridiculous amount of power but I'd like to get around 230 hp to the wheels. Next up is headers but I'm trying to find out which one would work best for me. Obviously, I'll be looking through the old forums to find what setup would work best for me, so I probably wont be asking a whole lot of questions. The plan is just to get a nice little extra umph of power and then focus on styling with a new set of wheels and coilovers. I also utilize alldata from my work to answer most of my questions as far as maintenance and repairs so maybe I can lend a hand time to time for those of you that want factory torque specs and procedures. I'm glad to finally be part of this community and look forward to talking to ya!

Hey all, picked up my '14 FRS a few weeks ago as my new daily and I love it. Put some winters on it and rust-proofed it; it should be good for the winter. More stuff coming next year.

Hello everyone!!! Im new to the car forum, hopefully this will be a well educated experience for me. I am now a proud owner of 2017 Toyota 860 special edition. I owned a 2009 Subaru WRX before so Im somewhat familiar with the boxer engine (and all its issues). My old WRX was pushing close to 400whp but it caused me so many problems towards the end that I'm actually glad to be driving a naturally aspirated engine for once. This car feels amazing for what it is and honestly it doesn't feel slow to me at all. Its been a good positive change and Im looking forward to owning the 86 for the long haul. Cheers!!!

Hi!

My name is Gerald, from NY but I've lived in South Florida for 20 years now.

I'm finally a member of the 86/FRS/BRZ community. I've been trying to get one for some time now and finally did.

I have a 2013 Scion FRS D4S, used. Before that I had used 2003.5 Mazdaspeed Protege and I loved that car but it wasn't in the best condition so it was time to find something else.

I don't know much when it comes to working on cars but I'm open to learning and trying. I used to be a member of a decent sized Mazda Crew back in 2009 and I really enjoyed it. I hope to meet others, build friendships, learn all while enjoying these cars.

Looking forward to this new adventure!
