I think the stripes look amazing. When the Evo 6 Tommi Makinen edition came out, a lot of owners removed the stripes. Nowadays the cars with the stripes intact are more desirable. So it may raise value in the short term, but I think in the long term, genuine OEM stripes will be looked at as a desirable, collectible option.

I always wanted to drive or own the evo 6.5 TME. One of my hero cars I've never meet.

Being in the states I had owned evo 8, 8.5, 9 and evo x. The only car comparable would be the Civic Type R. The evo 8 was better than the E36M3 I traded for it. Amazing for it's time and today in terms of feel.

Dang that looks sick. Great wheels too.

Ditch the stripes. The only cars I like stripes on are 40-60 year-old rally cars and race cars. Pretty sure the vast majority of our cars won't be around by then, and they're not exclusive enough anyway. Keep 'em if you want but I think they look awful.

I love my 86 as much as the next guy, but they are about as collectible as cans of tuna. OP should just do whatever he wants, drive the snot out of it, and not care about anything else. This is the gift that is the brz/86...

Yea I agree with this.. it's a lot less stressful driving around an 86. I'd cry if I crashed a GT4 or even put a ding on it. The 86 is replaceable.

Actually, if you're worried about resale buy a house not a car.

but unless you're flipping it within the first year, there is no way to make money on that prospect either.

I tend to agree with this. If a special edition of a car has specific stickers/decals I think they should stay on the car. The most confusing decal situation is with Porsche though. I never know which ones are supposed to have decals or not.
